Shitposting my vision I just came up with. Losely based on my post about Wolff "holding cards on George's future" (he actually has managerial rights over Russell fyi).
Disney Hercules Russtappen AU 🏛🥀
-Max as Hercules, on the pursuit of ascending to his rightful place among Gods. His journey is to prove himself as a true hero in terms of who he is and what he chooses to do, rather than fame or strength.
-George as Megara, witty, confident and tragic beauty, emotionally guarded from being hurt by being cheated on by the man he traded his soul for in a deal with Torger. Under the cynical surface, he is still a kind and compassionate person.
-Torger as Hades, theatrical and manipulative villain who attempts to get to Max by exploiting George. Power hungry asshole with a flawed sense of morality.
-GP as Phil, Max's grumpy, short-tempered mentor, who strives to achieve the recognition he deserves for training heroes all his life. Grows to be protective of Max and forms a genuine bond with him.
-Daniel Ricciardo as Pegasus, not a horse but still Max's playful and loyal companion. They are besties.
-Simone Resta and Marcus Dudley as Pain and Panic, Torger's incompetent minions. One impulsive, one spineless. They barely matter.
-Former WDCs as the Gods.
-The FIA and F1 moguls as the Titans.
-Ted Kravitz as Nessus, a creature Max fights against at the beginning for the plot.
-Lewis, Charles, Oscar, Alex and Lando as the Muses of epic poetry, tragedy, history, dance and comedy. They add comments to the narration.
Max grows up away from the Olympus. He learns he's meant to be a God but he has to prove himself by becoming a true hero to ascend. He trains under GP and befriend Daniel. At first, he is a bit shallow and fully believes fame and strength makes one a hero.
One day, he sees gorgeous George, who he is immediately attracted to, seemingly being pestered by Ted Kravitz and rescues him. He doesn't yet know that in reality George was trying to recruit Kravitz to Torger's side to harm Max and engages with Max on Torger's demand because his owes his soul to the prick.
Torger's plan is to have George discover Max's weakness, so that he can free the Titans to overthrow the Olympus. However, George progressively find himself reciprocating Max because Max demonstrates to really care for him, unlike the other mans who hurt him in the past and Torger. Meanwhile, Max also falls for George's personality, turning infatuation for his body into love. Daniel embraces George from the beginning. GP is skeptical of him due to George's ways, until he accepts how much Max cares for George.
When George realises he loves Max back, he is conflicted but the Muses guide him with his feelings. Hence, he tries to protect Max from Torger. However Torger figures out Max's weakness is actually George, so he reveals to him that George worked for him all along. Despite feeling betrayed and devastated, Max agrees to temporarily give up his strength to free George from his soul deal.
Torger and the now freed Titans attack the Olympus. Max goes to fight them without his strength, plus GP and Daniel. He almost gets crushed in the battle but George comes to save him, at the expense of his own life. Max therefore realises George's feelings were genuine by then and doesn't hesitate to throw himself in the river of souls to reach George. This act of selflessness and love finally makes him a true hero and immortal God.
He defeats Torger (heck him) and the Titans (heck them too), and George and Max live a happily ever after together on the Olympus.
