Over traded, no patience, and to many beers the night before. In this video I show how how extremely important understanding risk/reward is.

I started the morning off trading terrible, breaking all ym rules, not stick to my trading plan. Basically just doing whatever I pleased without thinking about it first.

I went trough my routine again, waited for the correct setups and took advantage of the inventories news. Ended up with a good profit.

In the overnight trading session of crude oil we seen that it has made a nice run up, typically this will continue into the first hour of the pit open.

Not today, after had a fake out breakout to the upside, It began to slam lower. I didn't let the price action fool me twice so I got short a couple times and ended up extracting +23 tick on 2 lots for $460.00.

Quad witching week is over! What a week, crazy news lots of movement and opportunities.

Today was a sideways day until we had a nice breakout to the upside. I traded with a bit of emotion. I gathered my thoughts, went through my routine, measured my areas and stayed patient.

I ended up with another profitable day and great week. You dont need trade all day, you don't need a million indicators, you need the simple toos that everyone is using to take profit everyday.

Crude oil moved very well this morning, it became clear in the morning that we would have a small run up so I took advantage.

I ended up wit over $720.00 profit on the day to continue my very decent trading week, I only traded a total of 40 minutes today.

Her is a LIVE trade on crude oil future, it was pretty clear the market wanted to move up this morning after the pit open. I measured my high probability areas for my targets and it hit perfectly.

It was a total of  $720.00 dollars on the the day. I quick trading session. No need to trade all day long. The first hour of the market presents multiple opportunities to make money.

Crude Oil Futures September 15, 2014

It was flat in the pre-market but obvious we will start to have some upward momentum, I got in with two nice longs right after the pit open. Stuck to my profit targets and ended up taking +36 TICKS on 2 LOTS.

Knowing what to look for and when is the key to profiting, and staying patient.

Can you say CRUDE OIL! WOW. What a crazy day trading crude, I usually don't take nowhere near this amount of trades or trade for this long but the market action is insane. You can DEFIANTLY say that summer is over and we are back in full force. As I'm writing this there has been over 300 TICKS of range on crude, more than double of its average ATR.

My results are posted in the picture above!

If this continues we will see some crazy volatility in the markets over the next few months! Its a good time to be a day trader.

Happy Summertime traders!

So I have been talking a lot about low volume summertime trading, well NOT TODAY! I actually was not going to trade today. I slept in today until about 7 am, took a look at the markets and could not resist a setup forming on crude oil futures. 

The market was moving very nice so i got short, and again I couldn't resit the opportunity to add on to my short position. It turned out to be a great trade with over 40 ticks and $1200.00 in returns.

Now is the perfect time to learn how to day trade these markets as after the long weekend, September should be a great month!

Hey traders,

Today I traded the YM emini dow jones index. Summer is in FULL EFFECT and we can notice that across the board on all the markets we trade. You have to be extra careful when taking trades and EXTREMELY patient. 

Your not going to get the big market swings it usually does when volume is at its normal levels. Stops and targets must be adjusted along with your trading plan.

My guess is that we see another week of this lower volume trading and after Labor day in the U.S. (September 1st, 2014) is when the big boys will be back at there desk moving the markets again.

Hey Traders!

Hope everyone is having a good summer, the markets seem to be having a great one since they have been pretty slwo over teh past few weeks! I assume we will see this kind of volume over the next couple weeks as most people around the glove take the last minute vacations with there families. 

With that being said if we are patient and wait for out setups there can be one or two good trades during the morning session.

Its been a few days since I posted a video or an update, its becuase I have not been trading. August is a very low volume month, lots of traders take August off for vacations and wait for volume to come back into the market in the last week or into September. 

(sorry for the low Audio on the video, hopefully if you can turn your speakers up as much as possible you can still here the commentary! Ill make sure next time to turn it up!) 

I seen an opportunity to go short on Crude oil futures for a few ticks (+15 or $150.00) Typically my profit target would be alot larger but in low volume markets you need to adjust your trade plan including stops and targets. 

Also in this video I shorted the mini Euro (6E), im currently still in the trade as Im writing this post.

Hey Traders,

Its defiantly summertime in the markets! You can feel how slow and choppy the markets have become as traders are taking there summer vacations. Its totally expected for the markets dry out a little bit but it wont last long. Its actually a good time to start to practice and work on your skills. Most importantly your skills of being patient and waiting for the correct trade setups. 

I took out +38 ticks on 3 trades today on crude oil and the mini Russell.
