The most memorable sunset paddle...only because Reuben tipped the boat immediately after this shot. You know that old saying, “don’t stand up in a canoe”? Yeah...that saying is around for a reason! Have you ever tipped a canoe?? — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2OpMlVs
It’ll be awhile before we get to do another sunset hike like this since *someone’s* bedtime is 7pm...😏 As adventurous parents, one of the hardest things for us to adapt to is that our schedule is now defined by naps, baby meals and early bedtimes. So if you’re out exploring this summer, make sure you do a sunset hike for us! 💛✨ — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2K3M7xH
[#ad] The beauty of the Sea to Sky Highway is not lost on us, no matter how many times we’ve driven it. The road to Whistler has always been a favourite of ours. With every twist and turn of the road you’ll find views of rocky cliffs and towering mountains, breathtaking ocean lookouts over dazzling blue water, and you might even spot a waterfall or two through the trees. When we took the 2019 @VWCanada #VWTiguan with us on Ollie’s first visit to Whistler, it elevated our experience to a whole new level. Gone were our fears of driving home after dark along the winding mountain passes, (we have a new appreciation for blind spot monitor and lane assist - it takes away so much of the stress of driving with an infant!) and hello to the comforts of ALL THAT SPACE. We had the best time trying out new coffee shops and cafes, exploring gravel roads along the river, and pulling over at every possible lookout to take it all in. When we arrived we had so much fun strolling through Whistler village with Ollie, but for us, it wasn’t just about the destination - half the fun is in the drive. This time last year, Ollie was just a bump and we had NO idea who he’d turn out to be. We can’t wait to bring our little explorer back to Lindeman Lake! 💚 — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/30J6C9H

Oh, how it’s good to be home! Although we’re heading out of town again this week, this warm weather has got us itching to get out on our local trails. What hikes are you thinking about doing this summer? (*Disclaimer: While it looks like we’re living on the edge, looks can be deceiving! This is actually shot well away from the cliff’s edge. We always recommend taking photos from a safe location.) — view on Instagram http://bit.ly/2XhqNh9

After over 2 weeks on the road we’re finally home - enjoying the luxury of sleeping in our own bed/crib, showering whenever we want, and with more space than we could ever dream of. 😂 But somehow, we’re missing our van life...hitting the road at dawn, those cozy nights where we’re all up in each other’s space, finding fun places to camp, making dinner overlooking the ocean, and taking in viewpoints like this. We can’t wait to relive these memories with Ollie one day. 💙 Make sure you check out our Van Life story highlights! — view on Instagram http://bit.ly/2IwAgrm
Trying to match these Redwood giants and failing miserably. But we sure did get a good view... There’s nothing that quite matches the insanity of standing small amongst these massive trees. — view on Instagram http://bit.ly/2Zjr14K
We travel a lot. We are constantly on the road, off the road, in the air, over seas, beside seas, on mountains, and exploring new places. When we’re on the go we have a million things to worry about as new parents, but most important of all is our health and the health of our little Ollie. Too many things can go wrong: things can get stolen, (it’s happened to us, and our credit card insurance wouldn’t cover it!) and scariest of all, accidents can happen. Do you travel with medical insurance? We get asked all the time for tips on travelling as a family, and our biggest tip of all is to first check what kind of coverage you have before leaving on a family vacation. We’ve stopped worrying about the ‘what ifs’ while travelling and have been using #RBCinsurance to keep our minds at ease. This way we always know that wherever we are, Canada or beyond, we’ve got ourselves covered. (Not to mention all of our camera gear, tech, and baby supplies!) We are trying our best as parents and we may be making tons of mistakes along the way, but at least this isn’t one of them. ☺️🤞👪 For info on the #RBCinsurance we use, click the link in our bio. #sponsored — view on Instagram http://bit.ly/2XyVTxr

If you saw our stories today, you know that this may seem like a sweet moment, but Ollie has other plans. 😏 There are some places that take your breath away. McWay Falls and Big Sur are among them. No matter the weather, misty fog or sunshine, the drive along this part of the California coastline is unbelievably beautiful. — view on Instagram http://bit.ly/2IiCwT4
Our outlook on travel sure has changed in the last year. Things take longer. We move slower. We do less, and lower our expectations. But the reward has been increased exponentially. Every little moment and every new experience seen through Ollie’s eyes has been complete magic for us, and worth all the trouble. We stayed two nights in Alabama Hills, lulled to sleep by the crickets, and with more shooting stars above us than we could count. So many incredible memories made! 💛💫 — view on Instagram http://bit.ly/2KnpGFF
