  The colors clash: yellow and aquamarine with Long Island white stripes dividing them symmetrically. He’s charmed himself into a chamber of his own, but still she’s fortified the steel sliding doors. Ships of all colors, shapes, and scrap metal makes buzz by Loki’s window. Shadow-fettered gossamer prevents their drivers from peeking in. Sakaar’s parent star, too, is barred. This ‘apartment’ doesn’t hold a candle to that glinting pipe organ on Asgard, but Loki’s charmed his way into receiving more amenities. Today it was new threads. Now they’re strewn about the floor like rags. She’s no better, stripped down to a bodice and her wedding ring.

     Her back curved into a deep arch when he first settled behind her. Barely a touch makes her toes curl. It begets a tremble that weakens her at the knees. Blonde hair spills over her shoulder and ghosts the corner of his mouth, which maps constellations down every knob until he breathes fever between her shoulders. She hums, angles her backside to best graze his bare abdomen until their bodies nearly slot, and reaches behind her to clutch dark hair. 

     “Lo…” she gripes, ensconcing them in preternatural darkness. One of his knees has dropped anchor precariously near the edge of the bed. She nudges between his legs with her bottom to try and draw his attention to it, though she winds up crawling even further back so they nearly join again. Then she gyrates slowly enough to elicit noise from him. She, too, keens for those long fingers to grasp and caress her…if only she’d remove his free hand from the left side of her chest where a heart should beat. His works for them both, pulsating from the heel of his hand into her chest so that syncopating rhythm courses throughout the cosmos. Jane’s fixated on his fingertips, which she traces with the tip of her tongue and wraps her lips around in slow pulls. 

       Flat to his chest are her shoulders; spread to feel his ribcage expand and contract while his heart further enlivens her. It nearly springs black tears to her singularities that can never shut. Trembling from a starquake induced by his touch, she twists to catch his mouth when it lifts from her next. A black liana tangles into their mouths. She giggles in lieu of fishing it out. 

     “You washed it,” she cheers, crinkling her nose at the taste and nudging his mouth open wider. The phases of the moon blazing down her back in white ink now collide with his bare torso. Her bodice melts away beneath his hands. “My hero,” another kiss augments the sucker punch of a line, “I love you.” Their noses knock. “I love you, Lo, I love you.” Apologetically her mouth grazes his nostril before she breaks to kiss him again, spreading her knees so far apart that they nearly touch his. 

      She was brunette that morning…and blonde again two days prior. Perhaps that ‘Grandmaster’ has sensed the Darkness, what it rightfully claims and protects from his wiles. For now, he doesn’t exist. Should Loki but whisper the words, he’ll cease to entirely.
