People wait all week for Friday, all year for summer, all life for happiness.

But if you bury your sadness under your skin instead of letting it out, what else can it do but grow in your veins, to your heart?

The conversation between your fingers and someone else’s skin. This is the most important discussion you can ever have.

These are lies depression tells you: You aren’t good enough. You’ll never be good enough. You are only as good as what you can produce for people. Once your usefulness runs out, so will they. Don’t get up. There is no reason to.

Depression and sickness really do feel alike. Both of them make you suffer; not an intense pain though, but a subtle cold flame that burns your days and your energy, so exasperating that unless you heal you won’t be able to do anything and you’ll find yourself too weak to ask for help. Just like a sick person shouldnt leave their house, when you’re depressed you feel like closing up in yourself is the only choice, as if everything else could harm you. But the difference is, when you’re depressed, the best thing you can do is opening up to someone, writing down your feelings, letting it go, because nothing beats the cold flame of sadness better than the warmth of a hug.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.

“I love him. I’ve always known I loved him.” “How?” “It’s like I get these butterflies around him. And they’re not the normal ones, the ones you get when you’re nervous. They are far more extreme. There are so many of them and they are so powerful that it feels as if they could just pick me up and carry me away. But they don’t. Because he keeps me grounded. That’s how I know it’s love. Because I know I would float away without him.”
