•lord have mercy he is down so bad. sometimes gets distracted if the cake pups start swarming around you while the two of you talk

•but he admits (when there are no other prying ears) that it’s rather adorable to see you afterwards, giggling while a mess of cream and slobber from his little beasts covers your face

•a good rule of thumb for him is if you’re good to the cakes, they (and their master) are good to you. a lot of quality time with red velvet will be spent playing with the cake hounds. there is no other option.

•he’s also relatively scared of initiating anything with you; afraid he might scare you away. just be patient and gentle, he’ll come around eventually :,)

•once he does though, it’s hard for him to keep his hands off of you! he’s always holding your hand and marveling at how small it feels in his, constantly complimenting you and praising your actions in the previous battle

•but sometimes he gets more worried than he would care to admit. if he ever makes it back before you, he basically interrogates anyone else who returns before you, only to fret over you like a mother when he finally sees you again.

•reassure him that you’re alright and he’ll still insist you let a healer determine that. he doesn’t want to risk anything. of everything in the world, he’d rather die a thousand times over than try to go on without you.

•all in all, rough on the outside, but still soft and squishy inside <3 i love him sm......

pure vanillas relationship with you would really depend on whether he has known you before the fight against dark enchantress or after regaining his memory

i imagine it would take him a little longer to fully warm up if he meets you after regaining his memories

however, no matter what, he's the most respectful partner you could imagine

always asking if he can hold your hand, kiss you, hug you, etc.

even once you tell him he doesn't have to ask, he can't help but keep asking!! he just wants to make sure you're never uncomfortable because of him!

taking walks around the kingdom is a common occurrence!! or sitting in his garden just enjoying the breeze and flowers!

he's so supportive of everything you do!! wanna start a new hobby? go for it!! playing with the kids in the kingdom? count him in! wanna go beat up some enemies? sure! wait, no actually don't do that-

he's very protective of you during battles, making extra sure you're always healthy and safe. his focus is on you 90% of the time

please please please be with him whenever he feels down about events from his past or even from his current life. he needs reassurance that you won't leave him alone :(

all in all 10/10 partner. so respectful, supportive and sweet!!
