ciels relationship with his appearance has to be Insane when you think about it. i cant even articulate it rn.... like imagine being a five foot nothing preteen with big eyes and round cheeks and trying to be taken seriously as a Man in a world that has taught you so brutally that your childhood is your weakness. adults continue to belittle you, to target you. and no matter how hard you try, you cant hide your youth. not like your eye or your scar; its an exposed nerve. you slowly learn that a perceived weakness can be twisted into an advantage, and you begin to utilise your appearance in your manipulations, but you never stop resenting it
