“Hm?” Vanna turned around to look at her friend, concerned, “Is something wrong, Hiro-chan?” She patted her bed, signaling to her dog to jump up, which he did, before promptly turning around in circles and making himself comfy on Vanna’s pile of stuffed animals.

“Rocky!” Vanna replied, kneeling down to scratch him behind the ears, “what a good boy!” she cooed, praising the retriever-rottweiler mix for existing, “both my parents had dogs before I was born. My dad had a golden retriever named Rebel and my mama had a rottweiler named Svetlana. They both passed away a few years ago but they had a litter together before that,” Vanna looked a little sad for a moment before shaking her head, “anyway, we kept Rocky and we gave his siblings to my parents’ friends-- you know that Russia sushi place downtown? My parents are real good friends with the owners so now they have like three dogs! plus Rocky gets to see his brothers and sister a lot too!” she booped Rocky’s nose, “oh, I guess you didn’t ask for all that. Sorry I have ADHD so sometimes when I get excited I just ramble. But his name’s Rocky,” she grinned sheepishly.

“My Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, probably!” Vanna skipped to the fridge and back, setting the ingredients on the counter next to her father, “Or maybe it’s just because I’m still a kid. I’m sure you and mama had lotsa energy when you were my age!” She climbed up onto the counter to sit on it, kicking her legs absentmindedly off the edge of the counter top.
