(NBC) Hannibal Lecter Yandere Alphabet (GN! Reader) 🥩🫀
(TW: Mentions of murder; Mentions of cannibalism; Mentions of ASPD; Mentions of stalking; Mentions of toxic and abusive behavior; Mentions of drugging; Mentions of brainwashing. Hannibal is its own Trigger Warning. 18+)
Author's Note: This is a very extensive alphabet, as Hannibal is an extremely complex character. I apologize beforehand, in case I happened to have misrepresented ASPD. If you have ASPD, I request you correct me, as I am seeking to write the most truthful things about it. This alphabet is a general alphabet, and can be both romantic and non-romantic (meaning it is suitable for asexuals as well), and you could put yourself as a friend or as a partner of Hannibal Lecter. Enjoy.
A - Affection: How does he show his love and affection? How intense can it get?
Hannibal's way of showing his love and affection can vary, but his two main love languages are Acts of Service and Quality Time. When it comes to Acts of Service, Hannibal will do everything for his beloved, if he can - especially if you are living together; he will cook the most scrumptious and elaborate meals just for the pair of you; he will assist you getting dressed, as well as getting groomed; he will help you carry heavy things and organize your belongings. When it comes to Quality Time, Hannibal will enjoy spending time with you, in the same room, even if you're doing something completely different from what he himself is doing. He will also enjoy teaching you many things (cooking, playing the harpsichord or piano, drawing, etc). It is to be expected that Hannibal will shower you with gifts - and those could be clothing, jewelry, perfume, portraits drawn by himself, and lavish meals - he would not think twice before indulging you with something of your liking. Likewise, Hannibal's affection, once granted, can be quite suffocating and over-the-top.
B - Blood: How messy is he willing to get for his darling?
Hannibal's obsessive nature knows no bounds, and he will go to any extent to have his beloved near him. Due to his lack of emotional empathy towards others, he wouldn't think twice before eliminating someone he deemed as a burden to his relationship with his beloved. Someone is getting more attention than him, spending more time with you than Hannibal? Is someone sabotaging you at work? Is anyone bullying you at university? Each and everyone is to be eliminated - and not in a merciful manner. What matters to Hannibal is that he is the only burden in your life, and the only culprit of any disgrace, if anything. Hannibal might even kill someone just for the sake of it, in order to impress you (such as when he assembled the Valentine heart made out of human skin and flesh in the show, with Anthony Dimmond's body, as a gift for Will Graham). It is an understatement to say that Hannibal is willing to get as bloody as he deems necessary to get to his beloved's heart.
C - Cruelty: How does he treat his darling? Would he hurt them?
Hannibal would leave most of his cruelty as a plan B - other than that, he would ultimately avoid doing anything that could potentially harm his plans - and anything he does would be seen as indirect harm, or harm that is completely unrelated to him. Likewise, he would only truly hurt you - physically - out of desperation, and/or if he felt betrayed by you (such as what happens in the show, Season 2, Episode 13 - Mizumono). Other than that, most of his cruelty is reserved to the rest of the people.
D - Delusional: Is he aware of what he's doing?
Hannibal is anything but delusional. He is more than aware of his every action, and he doesn't care what the results of his actions are. It amuses him to do what he does, seeing as most people are mere pawns to his chess game. Likewise, he is not the kind to hallucinate scenarios with his beloved, or blindly believe he has already accomplished what he seeks to accomplish - he is well-aware of his reality, and seeks to change it.
E - 1 - Escape: How hard would it be to escape from him? 2 - Exposed: How much of his heart does he bare to his darling? How vulnerable is he when it comes to his darling?
1 - It would be extremely hard to escape him - impossible, even. Hannibal would only stop chasing you after his very death. He would torment you for as long as he could, in order to have you by his side.
2 - Although Hannibal would take at least a few months to actually begin to open up, he would slowly reveal more and more about himself - his true feelings, his trauma, his paranoia, etc - but it would be extremely hard to get him to unmask. He will most likely take beyond several months to be able to fully unmask.
F - Fight: How would he react if his darling fights back?
Hannibal would not at all like his beloved fighting back his advances, and that would utterly frustrate him and make him crave violence - although not particularly towards his beloved, but to whoever is endangering the connection between his beloved and him. At the same time, the fighting back would trigger his predatory instincts, seeing as it would be a challenge for him to succeed - which is greatly thrilling and gives him some sort of motivation, as it fills the void within.
G - 1 - Guilt: What would make him feel guilty? 2 - Game: Is it a game for him? How serious is he in regards to his darling?
1 - Not much is able to make Hannibal feel true guilt. He would only regret it if he did something that snowballed into something he didn't want, as a side effect. That would frustrate him and make him regret his actions, but he would quickly figure out another way to continue with his plan. Hannibal is able to feel depressed, and is able to realize how something he did was a bad decision (through cognitive empathy), but he doesn't actually feel guilt in the same way most people do; it is more something such as rage - the aching regret of causing collateral damage without intending to, and therefore preventing himself from achieving his goals.
2 - All of this is far more than a mere game to Hannibal - it is a matter of him feeling complete. Seeing as you are his exception, he relies on you to motivate him through his life; you are as crucial in his routine as getting ready every morning, as showering everyday, etc. Think of it like this: you've lived your entire life with two eyes, and you know how to do everything with two eyes...Now imagine what it would be like to wake up without one of your eyes, or having an accident happen where you unfortunately have to remove your eye. That's what it would feel like for Hannibal; he would lose his sense of self all over again, and he would have to find ways to desperately cope with not having his exception near him.
H - Hell: What’s the worst thing he would do to his darling?
The worst thing Hannibal would do to his beloved is stab and/or shoot you - but not necessarily to kill you (once again, as seen in Mizumono).
I - 1 - Isolation: How much does he try to isolate his darling? 2 - Ideals: What kind of future does he have in mind for/with his darling?
1 - Hannibal would isolate his beloved to severely unhealthy extents. He would kill whoever he sees as threats, and would also sabotage each and every relationship that is preventing his darling from being exclusively his. He doesn't care what the others will feel - and he barely cares if you will miss those people or not - he must simply ensure you depend solely on him.
2 - He plans a life where you belong to him, and him only. If it is a romantic interest, he would be willing to go as far as marrying you and creating a family with you - although what Hannibal feels surpasses whatever man-made contracts are supposed to mean.
J - Jealousy: How jealous does he get? What does he do when he's jealous?
Hannibal doesn't tend to get jealous easily - unless it becomes obvious the person around his beloved is truly an impediment to his plans. In that case, he will do whatever he can to distance you from that person or those people, inevitably isolating you, and leaving you dependent on him. Hannibal, however, will not tolerate any potential romantic partners, and will go as far as taking your very opportunity and having an affair with said person (such as what we are able to observe in the show, when Hannibal begins an affair with Alana for multiple reasons - but the main one being because she could potentially be a romantic partner of Will).
K - 1 - Kidnapping: How would he go about kidnapping his darling? 2 - Knowledge: How much does he seek to know about his darling?
1 - Hannibal, being the methodical and meticulous man he is, would plan every single aspect of the capture, as he wants everything to be perfect. He would stalk you - memorizing your routine, memorizing who you talk to, etc. Likewise, he would prepare the perfect spot in his mansion for you, for once you've been successfully captured. He would ensure the suite is comfortable and secured, and he would buy clothes and toiletries for you beforehand, so that you are able to quickly get comfortable and accept your fate.
2 - Hannibal would always seek to know every single thing about you, and he would keep notes about it; nothing you tell him about yourself is overseen.
L - 1 - Love Letters: How does he express his love in writing? 2 - Love Ladder: How would he go about courting or approaching his darling?
1 - Hannibal is a connoisseur of poetry, and is well-versed, due to his vast knowledge on classical literature, multiple languages, etc. He would absolutely write poetry for his beloved, or about his beloved. (I am able to imagine achingly beautiful poems that are similar to Goethe's The Sorrows of Young Werther).
2 - In the beginning, he would approach his beloved as a friend - out of genuine curiosity and intrigue; it wouldn't take time for his feelings to escalate into the utter obsession and need he feels for his beloved. If it is a romantic interest, Hannibal would eventually practice traditional courting, by inviting you to have dinner, gifting you beautiful flower bouquets, as well as other kinds of presents. He would always be there for you, when you need him the most.
M - Mask: Are his Yandere tendencies obvious? Are his true colors drastically different from the way he acts around everyone else?
Hannibal is a Master in the art of deceiving others with his carefully crafted persona, making it nearly impossible to come to the conclusion there is something off about him. His elegant and polite demeanor melts away any suspicion anyone could ever have about him - not to mention how his beauty (physical appearance and style) directly impacts the way people view him. In public, he tones down his true nature - privately, however, Hannibal can do the most despicable things in the eyes of society (murdering and eating people, as we know).
N - 1 - No Escape: How hard is it to escape from them? 2 - Notebook: Does he keep track of what his darling likes? Does he keep track of the routine of his darling? 3 - No: Is there anything he would never do to his darling?
1 - Once you are captured, Hannibal will ensure you can't escape - even if you tried. If you happen to display great aversion - instead of acceptance and compliance - he will slowly and mildly drug you everyday - with psychedelic mushrooms and medical drugs that can cause confusion, memory loss and hallucinations, and he would also induce hypnosis (such as what we see him using on Will Graham and Miriam Lass - both times his goals having successfully been accomplished). Hannibal would ensure you had everything necessary, in order not to rebel against him due to missing the external world, and he would also mildly drug you, for the sake of crafting your brain to his liking.
2 - Hannibal, being the utterly organized man he is, as well as utterly obsessed with his beloved, would keep a notebook filled with notes about the things his beloved likes, including his beloved's routines, friend list, etc. He also has the tendency to write down the progression of his plans, and how well they are being applied. Hannibal studies you religiously, and that's why he makes sure to keep track of everything he is able to discover about you.
3 - Hannibal would never sexually assault you and he would never lobotomize you.
O - 1 - Obsession: How obsessed is he? 2 - Oppression: How many rights would he take away from his darling? 3 - Outside: Would he let his darling go outside on their own, after the capture?
1 - Hannibal is unhealthily obsessed with his beloved; his obsession consumes him, and also fills the usual void within him. He wakes up thinking of his beloved, and goes to sleep thinking of his beloved. Throughout the day, he will make mental notes about whatever new has happened, and about whatever new idea he has for his plans.
2 - Once captured, you would have little privacy. Hannibal would restrict you of the usage of your phone - unless supervised; he would restrict you from going outside - even if it is the garden - unless supervised. If you happen to win over the ability to go out with him, he would restrict you from speaking to strangers - or even friends - for too long, and would remain watchful of you at all times.
3 - As mentioned above, Hannibal would, at least for the first couple of months posterior to your capture, not allow you to even exit the house itself without him monitoring you. After those couple (to a few months, depending on how good and compliant you are), he will eventually let you exit the house, and hangout in the garden, sunbathing - but still under his supervision.
P - 1 - Punishment: How would he punish his darling? 2 - Patience: How patient is he with his darling?
1 - If his beloved has not been captured yet, Hannibal would punish them by killing people they deem as close friends or even romantic interests. If his beloved has already been captured, he would punish them by locking them in their quarters for a long period of time, as well as intensify his brainwashing routine.
2 - He is a very patient man, and would tolerate quite a lot - especially if his beloved is already captured, seeing as he would always be able to gain the control of the situation again.
Q - 1 - Quiet: How does he react when his darling refuses to speak? 2 - Quit: If his darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would he ever be able to move on?
1 - Despite everything, Hannibal is a very patient man, and he would give you plenty of time to adapt and decide to willingly speak. You would be surprised due to how long he'd be able to tolerate you refusing to speak to him - it would unnerve you, but also inevitably make you feel safer - and that's exactly what he wants you to feel. He could go weeks without you answering any of his questions, or answering his greetings. Eventually, he would either give you the ultimatum, through actually confronting you about your behavior, or it would be long enough for you to inevitably succumb to him (due to his charm and care) and speak to him normally. If you still decided to not speak to him, even after the ultimatum, Hannibal would give you the same silent treatment you give him - which would inevitably unnerve you, due to the foreign feeling of not hearing his voice anymore, triggering you to crave the attention and his beautiful voice, and that would make you decide to speak to him on his own. Once you've been captured, Hannibal has nothing else to worry about except ensuring you don't escape - and that means he will have the patience of a saint to deal with you, and he knows exactly how to trigger you to crave him.
2 - If you happen to disgracefully die, Hannibal would have his heart shattered into a million pieces, and he would eternally blame himself, and he would need to find a way to cope with yet another loss. Your death would inevitably trigger his memories of his sister Micha's death - where he felt extremely impotent. Hannibal could never recover fully from your death - the same way he's never recovered from his sister's death. If you happened to leave and successfully escape him, Hannibal would not only be sad - but also filled with utter rage; he would blame himself for what happened, but he would also desperately seek to find you again. In the meantime, as you are still gone, Hannibal would commit the most murders, in order to fill the immense void you left - as well as to soothe the ache of the betrayal.
Bonus: If Hannibal happened to find you again, after you escaped, he would be at least ten times less lenient. Hannibal would forbid you from leaving your own suite for months, you wouldn't be able to exit the house itself for several months, and you would be absolutely forbidden from hanging out in the garden without him; whenever you would get the privilege to be outside, you would be handcuffed to Hannibal, as he would not give you any opportunities to free yourself. His restrictions would know no bounds, if that means you'll learn to want him the way he wants you.
R - 1 - Rage: What makes him angry? 2 - Rival: How would he react to having a rival?
1 - Plenty of things make him angry: when someone is rude or mean to you, when someone is getting far too close to you, when you ignore him, when you avoid him, etc.
2 - Hannibal would, first and foremost, be stunned by the audacity of anyone daring to be occupying such an important place in his beloved's life. That would turn into possessiveness, as well as desperation, as he doesn't want to be abandoned and left feeling empty again. Hannibal would quickly begin to architect his meticulous plan to get rid of said rival - even if that means such a rival must die.
S - 1 - Stalker: Does he stalk his darling? 2 - Stigma: What brought about this side of him (childhood, curiosity, etc)? 3 - Surrender: What would he do to make his darling surrender to their fate, once they are captured?
1 - Stalking is the least Hannibal does, and he barely sees it as anything other but a casual part of his daily routine. Hannibal will stalk you in many ways - actually following you, stalking your social media presence, stalking your friends and family members, etc. If Hannibal is particularly busy, he will even hire a detective to follow you around and keep track of your daily interactions.
2 - His Antisocial Personality Disorder was developed posterior to the heavy trauma he endured. Firstly, the murder of his parents; then, the murder of his sister - right before his very eyes - and he then happened to have consumed his sister's flesh. After all of that, he lived for many years in an orphanage - which is another terribly traumatizing experience. Everything caused his ASPD to develop, which therefore made it so he suffered from the everlasting void it causes him to have - which means he must find ways to cope with it - and most of those ways are through violence (hence he is a serial killer and a cannibal). Throughout his life, Hannibal has only truly cared about very few people - his parents, his dear sister, and his aunt Lady Murasaki - until he found his beloved. Hannibal never intended on any of that to happen, but he couldn't help but have you as his only existing exception; he loves you - as he sees you as part of him - and going about his life without such a crucial part of his life would fill him with despair and hopelessness - that is why Hannibal cannot let you go now that he's found you.
3 - Hannibal would pamper you all he can, as you are captured - he would feed you the most scrumptious meals, he would shower you with gifts, he would allow you to indulge in activities to distract yourself, and he would also allow you to watch movies/shows. He would prioritize making it so you feel at home - as if nothing at all had changed - which would make it easier for him to brainwash you into accepting your fate and not think of escaping him. Inevitably, you would surrender to his charm, care and patience - just as he desires.
T - Tears: How does he react to his darling crying? What about when his darling scream or go into isolation?
If he is the one who caused the crying, he won't particularly care - unless it is something that truly disrupts the relationship between the pair of you. If you are crying due to the death of someone in your life he murdered, he won't feel sadness or guilt, seeing as, in his head, he did what had to be done - and it satisfies him. Hannibal would still comfort you - as he knows the way to soothe you, and what you want to hear, despite not being able to feel sad or guilty about it. However, if someone else is responsible for your tears, rest assured Hannibal will give them what they deserve - and he will probably feed that person to you.
When it comes to his beloved screaming, Hannibal would still be patient, although he would find a way to sedate you as soon as possible - and continue to do so whenever you decide to continue to scream and fight back.
As for his beloved going into isolation, Hannibal would respect your space, and would continue to treat you the same way - feeding you, giving you what you need, etc - but he would also go silent until you decide to no longer isolate yourself.
U - Unique: Would he do anything different from the classic yandere?
Hannibal would be far more patient and meticulous than most Yanderes, and he would also have original - and characteristic - techniques, such as applying hypnosis, drugging his beloved, and doing whatever to heavily brainwash his beloved into being his.
V - 1 - Vows: Does he make promises to his darling? 2 - Vice: What weakness can his darling exploit in order to escape?
1 - Hannibal promises to always keep his beloved safe from anyone but him.
2 - His beloved can take advantage of Hannibal once he allows himself to unmask and become vulnerable. His beloved may be able to appeal to his trauma, as well as weaponizing Hannibal's own feelings towards his darling. Likewise, his beloved can take advantage of the fact that they are his exception, seeing as Hannibal is able to have small amounts of emotional empathy and remorse for his exception only.
W - 1 - Weakness: What is something that can bring him to his knees? 2 - Wit’s end: Would he ever hurt his darling?
1 - His beloved could take advantage of Hannibal's own feelings and weaponize it against him, in order to get him to give you something, or to simply be more lenient. Using the right words, demeanor and expression is the key to getting him to melt away a bit of his strictness.
2 - As we are able to observe in the show, yes, Hannibal would be more than willing to hurt his beloved, if he deemed it to be appropriate and sensible. However, Hannibal's goal would never be to end his beloved's life.
X - 1 - Xoanon: Does see his darling as a deity? 2 - Xyster: Would he drug his darling and apply hypnosis often?
1 - It would be fair to say Hannibal worships you the way one would worship a deity. Seeing as he deems you as superior to the rest of people, he will always have you set on a pedestal - inevitably.
2 - Hannibal would drug you in minimal amounts at least four times a week, and strongly drug you at least once a week, in order to manipulate your brain and body into accepting him into your life. As far as hypnosis, he would possibly do it everyday, in order to further brainwash you. The drugging would be reserved for extreme cases - such as if you actively refused to accept your fate.
Y - Yearn: How long does he pine before taking action?
Hannibal is an extremely patient and meticulous man, and would be able to resist for at least a few months - although I dare to say he would be willing to resist for years, before finally making an actual move. In the meantime, he would dedicate himself to planning every single aspect of his plan.
Z - 1 - Zenith: Would he ever let his darling go? 2 - Zag: Would he ever break his darling?
1 - Absolutely not. You are Hannibal's exception, and therefore you are the only person he truly cares about - and he sees you as an equal and as an extension of him. Due to his ASPD, he happened to not have you in his life again, he would be consumed by the void that has always haunted him - leaving him prone to doing insanities that threaten even his own well-being. Hannibal would much rather rip off one of his beautiful eyes, before letting you go. His need for you is unwavering; you are part of his routine, and you are an extension of him - and he sees you as the only one worthy of his attention, care and vulnerability.
2 - We all know that Hannibal would most likely break his beloved - whether it is deliberate or not. He would break his beloved psychologically. 🧠🦌🫎🫀🫁

can a person whose name rhymes with cannibal and a person whose name rhymes with kill really fall in love? that is the question
2x03 || 2x12
a while ago i was given permission by @heavensghost to make a fan comic using this very stunning poem :)
most cringefail thing hannibal did
cried genuine tears after framing and imprisoning his friend for his crimes
folded after will made one (1) cannibal pun
moped in italy and killed folks left and or right after seeing will again
sent will to almost certain death because he kissed another person, then cried
found another brunette twink then folded him into a heart for the og twink
moped after will misses his appointment then drove hours to find him
opened will’s underwear drawer that one time
wears florals with windowpane suits and polka dot pocket squares
“going my way?”
turned himself in after being broken up with
