The provinces of Tamriel experienced great loss and suffering during the Oblivion Crisis at the end of the 3rd Era when Mehrunes Dagon plotted with the Mythic Dawn cult to open portals to Oblivion and let Dagon’s armies invade Nirn.

All the provinces except Black Marsh, the home of the Argonian Saxhleel. There, the An-Xileel faction organized a successful resistance to the invading Daedric horde. They stormed Oblivion-Gates and forced the lieutenants of Mehrunes Dagon to close thier own gates.

Here, I imagine an elite, fearless warrior. Many of the races and cultures of the Elder scrolls have real world parallels. Nords are very viking, Dunmer draw from the Persian and steppe people and the Argonians are influenced by Aztec and Mesoamerican cultures.I wanted that influence to shine through stong with my warrior’s design. Designs specifically are influenced by the padded armor designs in the Codex Mendoza and the headresses in stone carvings.
