My fav genre of Pokemon are the ones that have pure hatred in their hearts. Hatterene will give you headaches if it doesn’t like your vibes. Tinkaton will use its hammer to knock rocks into the sky to kill innocent Corviknights. Buneary starts off with a friendship level of zero after you catch it. Iconic I fear.

Hatterene is great but PLEASE tell me you've seen the dex entries for its mid evolution form hattrem.

THIS THING is going around absolutely beating the FUCK out of anyone who dares feel passionate about something.

It doesn't say positive or negative either so literally ANY strong emotion will set it off. Imagine a trainer who's been looking for their lost hattrem for MONTHS and when they finally find it they are so overwhelmed with joy and their precious baby who is finally back in their arms just gives their tear-streamed face one look and immediately starts BEATING THE SHIT OUT OF THEM.

There are some ridiculous dex entries out there but I genuinely think hattrem takes the cake for my absolute favorite. Why did they do this? What does this add to the pokemon world?

Do any of you kind people have recommendations for rodent centered xenofiction? I love rats particularly and I think it would be hella interesting to see them explored in writing similar to something like watership down (which I just read and loved) with little human characters and not much fantasy. I have been searching quite a bit but I haven’t had much luck, thanks for reading
