Vanessa married Marie’s uncle at a very young age, they never had kids because they were both always busy with work but loved each other very much. Vanessa is a very caring woman, she loves kids so she definitely loves her job.When her husband died — due to lungs cancer — she got too way too attached to her job, ignoring her personal life she refuses to talk about his death because she doesn’t like being sad or making anyone around her sad. Vanessa always had trouble making friends with the people in town because they misunderstand her, she’s most of the time just trying to be helpful. She was glad that when Marie’s parents moved out of town Marie moved into her house, so that Vanessa wasn’t so alone anymore.

Marie George — Niece, Marie and Vanessa have a pretty close relationship Vanessa treats Marie as if she was her own daughter,when Marie’s parents decided to move out of town, Vanessa decided to stay and promise them she’d take good care of Marie. Sometimes Vanessa embarrasses Marie, by going to her work and ask the boys in the store if they want to be Marie’s boyfriend, she believes her niece is too good to still be single, her purpose isn’t to embarrass her but yes to help her find happiness, only Vanessa doesn’t know the ‘limits’ and she sees no harm in anything.
Able Thompson - CoWorker, Vanessa is always trying to get Able to come out of his comfort zone, and Able is always trying to tame Vanessa. They often butt heads because they are so different, but they also tend to get along and work well together when they have to.
