I have more................#I've been wanting to compile my incorrect quotes tag for such a while now and Finally found the energy and brainspace for it #I've mostly just been working with the main trio (and Todd) but I have uhhh several more Options for whenever I find some elsewise fitting #I'm gonna see how many of these I can get out of my system and then return to finish out the latest update because it's!!! What A Chapter #Vargas truly never fucking misses all hits full points #Where do I even start - I guess before reading? Lol blood really was the running theme my blood was So thrummy lol #Excitement and fear and both were correct - I can't remember the last time reading had my breathing up in my chest out of fear #Going from knowing what to expect - from rereading and knowing the beats even if I'd forgotten the details #To out in the open ocean of possibilities - to seeing them /new/ again doing things they haven't done before...#Or even doing things they have done before! But not here not now not like this - seeing it in mainfic really does make the entire difference #And then - And Fucking Then #In our book club I tossed out some speculations - I was just as unaware of what was next as smol!#I figured there would be a perspective shift - we saw it in Ch. 27 to Nny and it was such a brilliant move to pull so far back #Both for Nny's unreliable perspective and so we as the audience get to see everything that Edgar (and Scriabin) doesn't!#But for him to take the chapter...... His first appearance into center stage this deep into it and he finally takes the spotlight #Actually completely shocking I literally Could Not Have Guessed that - he's taken certain sidefics but to take mainfic...#To see behind his eyes - visible and raw and still in the shape of Edgar hhghghk his particular phrasing and thoughts and structure #My notes are named for him <3 Just incredible to get this glimpse ♥#Not that my notes were very coherent lol I got fully caught up in reading after a point haha #And had to make the note a couple times of it being him! His POV!! a couple times before it would settle haha <3 #Just incredible <3 Everything to me <3 Been trying to read him so carefully this time around just to have him laid bare like this #What more could I ask for <3 #Only that they're all okay.... As okay as they can be....

Haha #Even - especially! - when they're both fucked up and talking draws these horrible emotional highs and lows from them both hh #Scriabin having to deal with neurochemistry of his own for the first time without Edgar as a buffer or filter or distraction #Getting his body to listen to the logical side of him when his emotions are trying to take over - and he has to figure it all out on his own #All his own emotions! All his own feelings! And as much as he's seen Edgar's practice and done some of his own this is still so new #No wonder he tells Edgar to fuck off when he piles sweetness and possessiveness and wanting and Love on top of that haha ;;♥#I doodled their little face touch-bat away last time too but I don't feel like I really captured it properly - take two!#They both know what this means to each other! Well - as much as Scriabin /can/ think things through at the moment haha #Edgar at least knows what this means to him and has some good guesses based on how his other half is acting <3 They're so cute ugh #I love that Scriabin stumbles on the L-Word too - he's able to say it where Edgar and Nny can't because they suck lol <3 #But he's not immune to his upbringing hehe it's very sweet honestly ♥ Just wait til Edgar says it back!! Then what will you do! Cry probably #I really love Edgar's phrasing - I mean generally haha across the board he's written so lovely - but specifically in encouraging Scriabin #He knows him! He still knows him even when they're apart! Wants him and believes in him in turn of Scriabin's belief in him haugh these two #Scriabin putting up his boundaries - very fair boundaries! - is really wonderful as well hehe - and then he lets them drop #Won't say it - won't admit it! - but does give his tacit permission and returns in earnest hhh not just acceptance but choice #Crying throwing things and so on lol - he's so tsundere about it it's so adorable <3 Both asking a lot of each other and he acquiesces ♪#And then finally the hugs!! I have to draw all of them!!!! Maybe some extras here due to running out of room for Ch. 33 lol it's important!#Again that call and response they do - Scriabin asking for his attention and praise because even if he's been degraded for much of the day #Edgar sees him and knows him and wants him and loves him and that's truly what matters to him hh ♥#And of course he'll continue to dance around the outsides of Edgar's willingness towards suspicion lol everything plausible deniability #They are So silly <3 No less in Edgar's little promise to keep him safe haha it's a very cute line!#I know he means it and honestly it really suits him <3 A lot of Edgar is nearly uncomfortably earnest and very sweet and cheesy hehe #And just this once Scriabin doesn't pick on him for it - takes the opportunity given to be close and snuggles right in because who knows...

#💟#Doodles #Art #Juan #Scriabin #Edgar #Todd #Mainfic #Ch. 34 #Once again: No they will not be doing that lol <3 At least not right away haha got a lot to talk about first!#The release of the first half of this chapter is So needed and So wonderful for it tho <3 We get some sillies ♪ We get to see Juan!! Yes!!!#Smol and I are in complete and utter agreeance - Juan is The Best and we love him <3 He's wonderful so delightfully creepy ♥#Love that he plays overly familiar because he knows these two! So good to see them! And mess with them <3 Make them squirm hehe #I really need the Diablos to host a neighborhood BBQ and Edgar and Scriabin and Devi and Tenna (and not Nny) are invited <3 #I really do like all the empty glasses we've got in this set :3 Edgar for being out of it and Juan playfully hiding hehe <3 #And Scriabin just regular-hiding! Poor thing has had a rough day and Juan is intentionally messing with them hehe <3 #If ever there was a time not to be on his social A Game - plus he needs to make a decent impression for Todd's sake #I love love their little asides to each other haha they are Not effective in keeping Juan out of the know but it Is adorable <3 #It's so obvious that he thinks they're cute I love how In Love they are to everyone Except themselves and each other lol - Devi also agrees!#Also this probably only entertains me but I enjoyed making Edgar's button down clearly less expensive than Juan's lol #Only a yoke across his back and Juan's has French cuffs - Juan is older and has more to show for it! His smile lines in particular :3 #Alright enough about him (never! Lol) onto Todd yaayyy sonboy is here and he's so sweet!!! Holding Scriabin's hand awh #Concerned for both of them in his little ways! Edgar gets jealous but he also gets worried over back at the apartment they're so cute #But first! The car ride home hehe <3 Scriabin is So much in the car lol they're both still very raw :')#He again-again-again reaffirms that he's so much the older brother role in encouraging Todd to swear lol #Neither of them are the good dad!! They both suck at this!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 I love that about them so much hehe <3 Trying anyway #Of course Scriabin would think of Edgar as the mom not just for gender role reasons but like - is Edgar not Everything to him lol #Not beating the son allegations at all Scriabin this is a very normal dynamic lol ♪ What's that one TFS Hellsing quote lol #And ending out with Scriabin waiting for him <3 I actually had smol model for me for that one hehe helpful lad :D I love the wording used...#I don't think I quite capture its simplicity honestly - hands over ankles - but it's such a lovely succinct description I had to draw it <3

#💟#Doodles #Art #Nny #Edgar #Scriabin #Devi #Mainfic #Ch. 33 #I sat down to draw like two things to round out the last third of Ch. 33 and ended up like five in excess lol - it's just all so good!!#Had So much fun with that high perspective shot with Nny ♥ Clearly since I did a similar pose with Devi later haha #I actually see her more from behind and with Edgar in frame - so much of the camera angles are different in my head I'll get 'em eventually #Whole sequence of Nny going for the Vargases has a dolly zoom effect in my head augh so cool ♪ His triangle eyes really do a lot too :3 #I really like so much about his design! His hair and his claws and his rip-tears and stripes and how tiny he can be hehe very enjoyable #And of course any and every time he gets fully bodied ♥ We again say thank you Devi truly The Best <3 #I love how immediately ride or die she is for these two honestly - mostly Edgar but her and Scriabin's relationship is honestly very sweet #I didn't get to include it here - I doodled him hiding over Edgar's shoulder! He should be doing it in the one where Edgar's freaking out #Problem is I just want to draw them snuggling so baaaaddd aauugghh hugs hugs hugs more more #It's in the extras I'll compile them sometime soon - but that he likes Devi and admits it in his little sideways way... So cute so sweet #Anyone who's interested in him! The him part of him not Just Edgar - that she says she prefers Edgar right after haha augh #I understand but ow! All the more reason for Scriabin to invest in their relationship! They have plenty of shit to talk on Nny at least haha #I love how immediately Edgar panics about how Nny can't love him but then thinks and thinks and thinks about what if he did...#It is So weird to draw Edgar without his scars... The two of them looking how they used to so long ago...#What if he'd chosen him on purpose and not out of necessity... What if he'd picked him because he wanted him and not on happenstance #What would it be like to be pursued by the one he's pursuing - what would it mean to him for it to have been a choice rather than acceptance #Hmmmmmm almost like that's The Whole Thing™ to do with Scriabin isn't it - and Scriabin tells him to stop thinking about it #He's the only one who gets to be a choice he's the only one who has the opportunity to change their dynamic it's too late for Nny #He messed up right away from the very start and unlike Some people he doesn't get a do-over of their first meeting #Or well - the dynamic shift of what they are to each other now anyway haha Edgar better not forget what they used to be either!#Nny Could choose him now... Ahem ahem:#Y'ever just read something and Know that you're gonna think about it for approximately the next five years #Can confirm - am still thinking about ♥ Did I time it this way on purpose? Hehe :3c I'd be rereading at this point even without the update!#The fact that there's Also the update is just an extra treat augh - getting there!!! For now the last-news hehe #I love whenever the Vargases are in tandem <3 And I think it's Very funny that they both refute it! They've literally been that! Haha ♪#I kept trying to figure what was so familiar to me while drawing Scriabin's bruised eye squinted shut and then was like ''Oh yeah. VUX'' lol #Scriabin gloating... Edgar tells him to knock it off in the moment and then follows up with surprise later that he didn't do worse haha #Just couldn't help himself! Feeling wanted by his world has always been the most important to him but really - now is not the time haha #It is really fun and nice to draw them hugging tho <3 Especially after Edgar forced that hug on him! Vindictive hugging haha #Edgar spelling out for Nny why he wants to keep Scriabin - sets him up for his more self-focused sadness to follow :(#Nny really lost the most of all of them... Some self-inflicted of course haha but Edgar got to keep Scriabin and Devi still hears Sickness #Nny didn't get to keep any of the voices he came In with! His creativity drained his desires repurposed #And even those beautiful memories he worked so hard for... His memory was already pretty shaky and now...#As soon as Scriabin steps Out to check on Sickness - still so cool agh - Edgar goes ahead and engages with that empathy...#He doesn't deserve it Edgar :( It's sad of course! Nny's never had an easy time of anything but Edgar....#As soon as Scriabin's not there to redirect him he goes right back it haha <3 Come back soon Scriabin! It tracks #The fact that Nny shows up knife in hand at the ready is honestly very funny to me lol - he's not coy about his stabbing plans!#Once again Thank You Devi - where Would these two be without her honestly hhh ;;♥ Love Edgar feeling weird about being protected too ahh #So much of him raised for independence and he's usually the most pulled-together person in the room! Feeling out of control in fear #And a little ashamed haha get him Devi <3 She has to do everything around here!#I love how obvious it is that Nny's still in love with her <3 His little murder-crush on multiple people in this room! Very cute/dangerous #Personally I see his slap-bruise as on the same side as Scriabin but smol was very convincing in it being on the opposite hehe #First of all for the mirror symbolism :3 Always good <3 But also being the same side as his gunshot wound/missing eye! Hard to argue with ♪#That side of him just cannot catch a break haha - and it's the right side for the Vargases! A full set between them haha #His little smilefade into asking about Scriabin.... Keep forgetting them #His moodswings are as fun to draw as ever haha - picking through the tines before dropping the fork ♪ Talk about capricious hehe #Hhhh the Vargases' little exchange to ground each other and calm down.... Edgar wiping Scriabin's tears away with his thumb #I can't stand them ;; Love them too dearly will laugh and enjoy Scriabin having to deal with his own adrenaline and cortisol but still...#When they're sweet - when Edgar holds Scriabin's hand against him and then Scriabin replies with the same hweh wegh weh #At least Nny's here to bring the silliness back in hehe he is good at that - and bad at it! Squeezes them like squeaky toys #Teasing Scriabin <3 He's earned that and more and he's so cute in how transparent he is hehe of course Edgar dreams of you!#He almost certainly didn't have his glasses on since he turned back over to go back to sleep soon after but I felt like putting them on lol #It's worrisome how Edgar copes with with Scriabin being out of his head but at least it doesn't stop him from checking up on him #So cute... So sweet <3 And when the cope doesn't work he worries about him endlessly haha even cuter and sweeter!#Scriabin would be so pleased to see how quickly Edgar progresses through realizing he wants him! Edgar's more soft and thoughtful and Devi is straightforward and action-oriented!#So cool...... So much time snuggling in bed ♥#Their pillowtalk game is abysmal <3 Absolute delight hehe #I really do love when Scriabin takes Edgar to task for his biggest betrayal <3 He's got like Two things he can Actually hold over Edgar lol #And this is one of them!! It was something incredibly meaningful to both of them and then Edgar gets self-conscious and flighty #And worse - Edgar's right in that Scriabin was killing him and Scriabin had no idea and no intention to carry that out #Blaming him for what he Is rather than what he Does - the nature of him rather than his Choices his Decisions #It's one thing to get mad at him for the hurt he intends to do lol - he'll stand by that nine times out of ten because he's awful <3 #If for no other reason than because he Chose to do it - even if he regrets it he owns it because it was /him/ doing it #Hh... They really could only start healing once Scriabin was out of him - it's finally actually a meaningful choice and not just passivity #And he Is willing to listen to Edgar as he keeps trying to reach out... It's honestly a pretty incredible turnaround for him #Shows not just possessiveness and desire but curiousity! Interest! They love each other so bad haha <3 #Still not ready to believe him outright tho! Anytime Edgar acts Weird (in his opinion lol) he's just like huh haha <3 Edgar crying? Gotta appreciate it while he's new #Scriabin grounding him after another nightmare hh <3 I love anytime Scriabin grounds him but just by existing close to him! Always <3 #It's really nice to draw them snuggling again <3 Feels like it's been ages! Scriabin needs to be confident hehe offensive to Edgar's defense #He's so silly <3 Sets Edgar up perfectly and what does Edgar do to repay him? Freak him completely out lol don't get your hopes up #One last little doodle from my previous notebook sneaking through - you can get a small peek at the order I draw in! Lol #Hates having to utilize Nny in this argument but any piece that moves Edgar closer to him - a necessary concession #If anything it's actually a brilliant long-game play - attribute this early fearful reaction to Nny so Scriabin by comparison.... Hehehe #Part of me is grateful that Edgar is as obtuse as he is because it means we get to see Scriabin being as obvious as he is #He Gets to be this obvious because he knows Edgar's self-imposed blindspots better than anyone and can dance around them #But also. Edgar. I know the whole denial and repression and fear and negative reinforcement but really now #He's an intelligent person he's just So incredibly stupid lol - I love intelligent idiots!! He feels very internally consistent!!! And yet!!#Even goes as far as to ask the Scriabin no longer inside him to point out what he's trying to avoid and hears resounding silence #Shrugs and moves on guess that's something to worry about later Edgarrrrrrrrr auaughagahahuhuh #And even if he asked Scriabin wouldn't tell him! He needs time for this to settle because trusting Edgar's is a fool's errand! Loathing 💖#I love them going shopping together so muuucchhh <3 <3 I want to see them do every mundane thing together and totally bungle it ♥#I had fun with that box haha - a box of candy eggs..... Does that imply that it's around Easter? What is it about drawing Edgar kneeling to comfort Todd that's so difficult??#I think it's probably because I see ''kneeling'' as one knee up one knee down but I dunno... Scriabin also kneels but that seems awkward...#Well anyway I'll worry about it some other time - for now it's time for snuggles! Spooning! Morning hug time! Snuggles! Noooooo (yes) lol #I really enjoy doodle-planning because like - I wasn't expecting the older one to be dyslexic and the younger to be a good reader!#But here we are! More differences! I did consider him struggling because he needs glasses but that felt a little too obvious haha #I'm not completely against it tho.... Everyone looks cute with glasses hehe #And Edgar already needs to go to the doctor's with Scriabin! So why not! :3 Checkups for everyone with no certain medical history! Haha #Gifting a name really is what it's all about <3 Finding a good one and agreeing yes but specifically of the other giving it to the recipient #How would you know how it sounds outside yourself if not for someone else! He's such a sweet boy <3 Passively encouraging Scriabin to sit on his own #Poor Edgar also alone for the first time in a long long while - busy! Got stuff to do! Can go snuggle with him later haha #What /was/ he mumbling to himself? What was he putting in order? Haha <3 #I have to give complete credit to smol for that punchline she's brilliant ✨ Of course he's getting used to his mouth - what's the best way?#Speedrunning getting his body to do what he wants it to do haha ♪ He's gotten so used to being competent and now!#But that's all through his toy or Edgar - now he has to fill out this entirely new form on the fly!#It's still amazing to me in how much they look alike that they're so distinct from each other...#I've drawn Edgar so many ways now - fearful and frustrated and yet Scriabin is still so distinctly himself...#They're so cute <3 Edgar all fuzzy with his hair grown out and Scriabin mostly bald hehe adorable!#I like Edgar's little comments about Scriabin's details are all wrong - obviously his inelegance and lack of hair and his outfit #But other things! Like his voice! I like to imagine Scriabin spoke with Edgar's internal voice - lol obviously but like!#The one we hear inside ourselves that rumbles deeper and why we tend to hate recordings of our own voice! That's not what I sound like!#Now they both have that <3 Forever-recording voices reflected back at each other hehehe <3 #It's lucky they've always sounded different even while sharing a body! They probably have similar voices but they speak differently :3 #Considerably harder to hide which one's which now! Scriabin could still probably answer the phone as him tho - well eventually lol #Hhh <3 2017-me was correct in picking out Edgar's Scriabin monologue as my favourite scene from this chapter #That's so fucked of you Edgar haha... Of course he's missing him and Scriabin's not pulled enough together yet to comfort him with ridicule #Edgar have you ever considered this might be unhealthy lol they're both so good at talking about their feelings hahaha #So many things they just barely touch on because they're honestly being pretty nice to each other in mainfic all things considered!#They are still such disasters about everything ♥ Want each other's love so badly and yet can never accept it because it's never been easy...
