Deadline

Our deadline is extended!

We’re extending the deadline due to the convention season being over this year, and to allow for more submissions with less stress on our artists.

Feel free to submit until further notice! We have a malleable deadline right now and will adjust as more submissions come in for the project to be manageable!

VARIOUS QUIRKS VOLUME 2

“Various Quirks” is a My Hero Academia fanzine. The second volume will have the theme: The Fantasy and the release date is yet to be determined.

The same as it was with Volume 1: Mix Tape- the goal is to collect work that is different enough from the original style. The art is going to be “varied” and will definitely be “quirky.” The Fantasy theme means that we’re going to have the characters be interpreted with elements of the fantasy genre. 

That means having the characters re-designed to fit in a fantasy realm, much like in the styling of fantasy role playing  or dungeon crawling games, like Final Fantasy or Dungeons and Dragons. 

IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE EXACTLY LIKE THE CREDITS ANIMATION. What this means is that there’s no limiter on what the character can be. If you want Kacchan as a Paladin, do it! Tsuyu as a witch? You bet! We can’t wait to see what you come up with. 

GUIDELINES

POSSIBLE LIMITED ACCEPTANCE:

Due to a possible overflow of submissions, all submissions will be carefully considered this time. We will notify each submitting artist of their accepted status as soon as we can. 

THEME:


As mentioned above, the theme is based on Fantasy, please be mindful and try not to stray too much from that central theme. 

FILE SPECS:

9 x 11.50 inches should be your file size. We’ll take care of file handling for the physical book. We will also provide with a sort of guide file to overlay on your art to show you where the safe areas of the page will be.

CMYK color mode. 


PDF, PSD, and TIF formats are acceptable. 

CONTENT:


All content of all ratings will be considered. G rated to R rated. We would normally say PG-13, however that really restrains the theme, and for certain characters would restrict too much. 

Scheduled deadline is TBD.
