mid-war megastarop has the potential to be the MESSIEST SHIT IMAGINABLE for EVERYONE involved but I can't figure out a way it would work, and so I consult the megastar magician themself

My favourite concept for this is Optimus misinterpreting a typically melodramatic Megatron/Starscream relationship drama and accidentally inserting himself into the middle of it probably thinking he's rescuing Starscream from big bad Megatron.

But he's not actually, because threatening one another with violence is Megatron and Starscream's love language.

HOWEVER, afterwards Starscream goes 'oh wow he's so easy to manipulate when he thinks he's playing the hero huh?' and he and Megatron come up with a plan to lure him in with Starscream playing the damsel in distress to Megatron's cartoonish attempt at playing 'abusive husband' but it backfires because Optimus comes in and kicks his ass and is so formidable and impressive and ...attractive that Starscream hiding in the corner is like... 'oh I like this actually' and Megatron pinned to the floor is like 'oh I like this actually' and Optimus looking between the both of them is like '...why are they staring at me like that??'

Anyway, good luck shaking them off now Optimus
