I WAS IN A BEAUTY PAGEANT!!

Over the past months since the ending of 2017 I’ve been preparing myself for the Miss Phi Beta scholarship pageant at my school Hampton University. The pageant was put together by the men of Phi Beta Sigma Inc. and it was an honor to be apart of it. The Pageant consisted of an opening dance including all my pageant sisters and I, my self-introduction, swimwear, talent, and questions. Overall I placed 2nd in as Miss Beta Gamma representing the chapter of the men of Phi Beta Sigma Inc. BUT I also left with another title as Miss Congeniality (an award recognizing my positive attitude/energy throughout the pageant). Honestly, this was one of the best things I’ve ever participated in I met and bonded with 5 beautiful souls who I am lucky to call my sisters for the rest of the time being. Also, I had some of the best coaches keeping a fire under my butt and believing in me along the way. Plus the support the night of the show was CRAZYYYY I was honestly shocked to the point to where I ended up in tears after seeing everyone. It was definitely a lifelong experience I’ll never forget and yet a huge boost of confidence and yet a lot of hard work. I challenge anyone to do it because I know you can!

I recently traveled to Puerto Penasco, Mexico over Spring break and had the time of my life!!! While there my friends and I stayed in the cutest Airbnb, a small gated house located in the actual neighboorhood of the town this made the trip even more authentic.

While there we rode ATV’s around the whole resort, ate the most amazing burritos, bar hopped (the drinking age is 18 *woo woo*) and danced the night away. This was honestly one of the best experiences of my life so many memories and hilarious moments were made. Plus I was able to have all this fun paying less than $100 while there over the course of 3 days. Also, it was my roomies birthday so you know we turned up!!!!

Let’s Talk Pageant Fashion!

SAY YES TO THIS DRESS! 

The beautiful sequin off the shoulder gown that I recently wore in the pageant was most definitely a show stopper. The dress was a mix of green, navy blue, purple and a hint of yellow undertones. The dress was well form fitting and I didn’t have any alterations made as I ordered a size Small. The material was also stretchy but thick and there was a slit made in the inside of the dress. I accompanied it with a gold necklace to match, which also matched my gold eyeshadow lol. Plus BABYYYY this dress shined in every light and hit every angle literally perfect! As expensive as it looks I only paid *drum roll* $90 for this gem!!

Can You Dig My First Wig?!

So I finally did the dang thing and ya girl got a wig! When it comes to my hair that’s something I do not play about lol. But this wig is soooooo bomb omg omg I really couldn't be happier. The best part is that I BARELY spent over $100 on this beauty for a $300 quality. The hair is 100% virgin human Indian, very soft, silky and bouncy curls. This unit also came with baby hairs, but I had to create the part myself which was not a big deal. It also came in a pretty silk bag along with a coupon code and lashes, how bomb! I prewashed it and it still remained the curl pattern which is very pretty I also added product.

I got this showstopper at Forever 21 in the Mall of America. It was only $12 on clearance!! Of course, I caught the after Christmas sells and it was as even a BOGO going on so I really lucked up.

Well Helloooo 2018 ✨ My New Year’s Motivation To You!

Happy New Years Everyone! I'm sending and wishing you nothing but positive energy, prayers, and productiveness & within your life. Just know whatever it is you're going through now that you're not alone. No matter how your situation now does not determine your future. God ALWAYS has a plan for, you for the better. A positive mindset can take you so far in life. 

Here are some keynotes and a little advice from me to you to think about this upcoming year! 

• Everyday you should try to be better than who you were yesterday 

• It's important to stay consistent with yourself when goal making. The point of making a goal is to achieve it (Which you will) 

•Live, learn and grow from your mistakes always continue to better yourself on a daily basis 

•Stay BUSY & stay FOCUSED 

•Try to make the best out of nothing! • Motivate YOURSELF! Have faith in your vision! 

•Don’t compare yourself to others, do what makes YOU happy 

•Once you reach your goals you should always continue to make new ones! Keep the grind and the same energy as when you started 

•Most importantly LOVE YOURSELF 💜
