Guess who’s finished reading The Wicked King and obviously just can’t stop drawing these two stubborn creatures? Σ(-᷅_-᷄๑)
Of course, I’m trying to keep it spoiler-free <3

some of you have never struggled not to look at a book or series’ tag on tumblr before finishing it and it shows
I think this piece rounds off my Wicked King recovery nicely. There is so much juxtaposition in the sequel compared to the Cruel Prince, and this one was the most literal.
Cardan on puppet strings is a very common motif among his fanart - but Holly LITERALLY made Jude a puppet on strings in the sequel that the comparison had to be made! The fact that they were both tied down due to polarizing forces offered us readers what will be the most excruciating catch-22 of 2019. (I found it hilarious Jude being so self conscious about her dress for Taryn’s wedding - I made it suuuuuper low cut)

Marked Beauty
Marked Beauty is a very gripping book. The writer does a good job at reeling you into the story. The world the writer has created is amazing: the many storylines about Ana, her missing mother and her abilities and Viktor and his strange past are captivating. Especially the parts where Ana is finding out what she is and how she is trying to cope with her gifts.
At times, though, it feels very fast paced. I would have liked it if she had elaborated a little bit more about "the Realm, the Rifters or Energy Portals", because it is confusing at times. So a little more detail for me, would've made the story more understandable. The on-again-off-again relationship between Ana and Viktor bothers me. It isn't very clear if they are involved or not throughout the book.
All in all, if you like a fantasy novel where the magical characteristics are not about fairies, werewolves or vampires, I recommend this book.
Ace of Shades
She was a pistol wrapped up in silk. She was a blade disguised as a girl.
What an exciting read! Enne and Levi, their story is definitely worth to read. This book is full of heart pounding chases through New Reynes, sexual tension to boot and daring (anti) heroes. The City of Sin is undeniably one I’ll visit again.
