“So I’ve heard.” Val tapped a nail against her wine glass. “And we’re to believe he’d be good for the world? For us?” The King shook her head. “I’m sorry, but I’m not sure I want to put my faith in fortune tellers.”Â

“from one ruler to another, that’s much appreciated. there’s a lot of scrutiny out there and only some is valid.” wine hadn’t really been what she had in mind, but the valkyrie still took the cup and did her best to not swallow it in one drink. “no? what would that be?”

peter visibly relaxed at val’s remark. he knows me? ok, that’s cool. and now an invite to visit the new asgard - from the king herself? this was turning out to be one of the coolest conversations peter accidentally wound up a part of. “oh, i’d love to! that sounds great! i don’t really drink though, not quite old enough,” an awkward chuckle followed his words.
“Come to think of it,” she paused. “I don’t believe we have a drinking age. You have to be old enough to see over the table and hold your own pitcher. Maybe we should look into that.” They probably wouldn’t. It had never really been an issue. “You let me know when and I’ll send a horse. How have you been?”
