Snazzy Summer Styles: Tips on Finding the Perfect Outfit, part 2

Last week I introduced you to a sleek turquoise and gold look. 

This week, it's time to focus on every girl's favorite color--pink!

This outfit is a simpler, more affordable version for those of you on a budget. I've made it so you can literally go to your local mall and pick up most of these.

Set the stage with turquoise and pink floral-patterned pumps. Like last week's outfit, gold accents will remain throughout. I'm using a dress from Charlotte Russe and bag from JustFab to bring out the gold shimmer. You'll culminate that shimmer in a gorgeous twisted link bib necklace from Forever21, and will heat things up with a classy pair of aviators in your stylish shade of choice.

Hot tip: Maintain your shimmer with Bath & Body Works' Malibu Beach in a Bottle Bag! A steal at $10, you can remain fresh and fabulous throughout your trip. This handy set includes Malibu Heat in 3oz shower gel, body lotion and fragrance mist. And who wouldn't want the fun bag to top it all off? ;)  

With this outfit, you're sure to turn heads and get everyone on your yacht or cruise ship talking! It's a creative way to liven up any summer outing.

Snazzy Summer Styles: Tips on Finding the Perfect Outfit

Hey beach babes! ;)

We all want to look our best when it comes to the getaway. That said, it can be tough finding the right color combos that look both amazing and flattering. This is part 1 in a series focusing on some color recommendations I've put together. The color I am focusing on is a turquoise, but can be paired with white, gold, or pink in the examples I'll be using from Polyvore.

Example 1: bebe's Deep Green

This Facebook post from bebe got my thinking today about the elegance of combining a shimmery gold with this shade of turquoise (which on the website they are calling Deep Green). While you're on vacation, the turquoise will help you stay in a tropical mood. The gold will emanate a shimmer as you stroll in the sun and sea breeze.

I've chosen the Double Zipper Ruched Dress and the Magic Mirrored Perforated Tote (also available as a clutch). Why these items?

Ruched dresses are super-comfortable and soft.

Totes help keep you organized and functional as you're going from activity to activity while on vacation.

Overall, these selections set the Deep Green tone while providing rich gold accents. Complete the gold accents with a sexy heel and spot-on jewelry. I've chosen heels from JustFab as an example (not the bebe ones, since sadly, they are leather. Those of you who know me know that I never buy leather products). Then add to your allure with a matching bangle from hot jewelry site BaubleBar. Out of all of my items on Polyvore, this one has been used the most in others' sets.

Wearing: Shakuhachi shorts, Zara shirt, blazer and heels, Michael Kors watch, Benah cuff, Gorjana necklace, Vintage and Jacquie Aiche rings.

When I arrived back in Australia from New York I spent one night at home in Sydney where I literally unpacked and repacked my luggage, before heading down to Melbourne for LMFF. Though I’m not sure where I spent more time- at the pier watching the shows or over enjoying the treats inside The Rialto (if you follow mineor Nicoles Instagram’s you would know the sugary treats I’m referring to…) where I also snapped these shots out the front of.

Melbourne is known for its “four seasons in one day” which is exactly what we were welcomed with. Wearing jeans to brunch to combat the rain and wind resulted in sweltering in the sunshine by midday. This simple white on white blazer and shirt combo over floral black shorts not only worked out for the transeasonal weather, but the different meetings and events we had during the day into the night.
