since masked kidd got a redesign i wanted to throw my hat in the ring of making my own designs! the og skins are fairly ugly in my opinion, so hopes they will be updated!

Hi, it's been a while, & I haven't been making any art for any of the stuff I'm obsessed with lately, but would you take a look at the icons I made for me OCs? 🥺

These aren't of the best image quality (they're downloaded cuz I drew them from a different device), but this the only thing available for the moment <3 I love these OCs so much I'm going to make a tag for them! There's so much in store, you have no fricking idea how much stuff I've developed for these stupids. Some of the characters don't even start off the story looking like this, & you'll never know why this is the case until later on. (Unfortunately, I don't have any access to the concepts right now, they were drawn/written on paper.)

Anyway, daily reminder from a culturally isolated Romani person.

Gypsy does not mean wanderer.

It literally means ‘people from egypt’ or similar, as europeans believed Romani people were from Egypt. It has become known similar to nomad due to how our ancestors have been forced to be nomadic due to racism and ostracization, but it is a SLUR.

Romani people are STILL being forcibly sterilized.

Romani people are STILL being forced into ghettos.

Romani people are still facing violence and danger in countless European countries- and recently, I’ve seen the beginnings of the extremes in the United States.

Have a little fucking respect and DON’T USE A SLUR THAT’S BEEN USED FOR CENTURIES AGAINST US.

And for the love of whatever’s up there, ESPECIALLY do not use it to describe your witchcraft. It is playing on the ‘magic gypsy’ trope, and is EXTREMELY insulting.

i could never reset squid and break his heart again after i've fixed him in a playthrough because that's exactly what he expects from people. when he says "expect everyone to act in their own self interest only" that is exactly the kind of thing he talks about. the only reason to reset him after you fix his heart is for your own entertainment, is entirely selfish. the only reason to do it is because YOU miss his banter or want him to continue speaking to you in the levels - you're using him for YOUR entertainment, breaking him on PURPOSE when you know for a fact he was fine once you put his heart back together... and I simply cannot do that to my man :(
