The language we use when referring to other animals is so important. Using terms such as “it” instead of “him/her/them”, “meat” instead of “body/corpse/flesh”, “pork” instead of “pig” etc. reduces animals to mere objects and further perpetuates speciesism. It encourages us to continue viewing other animals as ‘products’ which lack any moral value instead of the sentient individuals they are who possess fundamental rights. #animalrights #speciesism #vegan #veganism #animalliberation #socialjustice #socialchange #humanrights #fundamentalrights #basicrights #justice #peace #equality
I think it’s really good that your pets are vegan and I hate it how many people get mad when they find out someone’s pets are vegan, they should understand.
Thanks! Yeah those who think it’s wrong to feed ‘pets’ a vegan diet are people who haven’t actually done any research on the subject. And those who claim it’s “unnatural” should take a look at the absolute crap inside the standard pet foods that are on the market. We know our companion animals can survive and thrive on a plant based diet therefore if ‘vegans’ still choose to have other animals killed(cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, fishes etc.) to feed their dog or cat it’s unethical and speciesist

AND LEFT
Why is honey not vegan? -“Honey is made by bees for bees. Importantly, harvesting honey does not correlate with The Vegan Society's definition of veganism, which seeks to exclude not just cruelty, but exploitation.” On average a bee will live for about 40 days, visit 1000 flowers and make just 1 teaspoon of honey. Just one teaspoon of honey for us is a bee’s entire life work. Although the fundamental issue is exploitation, bees are still harmed in the process of harvesting honey, the queen will have her wings clipped to ensure she cannot leave the hive and beekeepers often will kill the queen bee every year to introduce a new queen to the hive. The bees reproductive systems are also violated, semen is harvested from males and females are generally artificially inseminated. And of course, as bees are very small, delicate animals they will often be crushed or injured when the honey gets harvested. #honey #honeyisnotvegan #savethebees

Pro-Choice?
Being a biological male i don’t understand abortion. If you got raped yeah I understand but if you sit there and have sex and then get pregnant you deal with the consequences. I don’t understand why you’d want to kill something you made inside your body. Can someone who is pro choice explain this to me?
Abortion is a way to deal with the consequences.
I know, being someone who will never have to deal with pregnancy, it’s difficult to understand why someone might not want to spend nine months throwing up, getting kicked in the ribs and cervix, with an aching back, with round ligament pain, with sciatica, muscle cramps, swollen feet, headaches, insomnia, exhaustion, nausea, frequent urination, aching hips, all while risking future health and maybe even their life.
And I understand, as someone who will never have to experience it, how you might not understand why someone doesn’t want to endure hours of painful labor followed by having another human ripped or cut from your body.
And I know you can’t possibly understand why someone might not want to then spend 6-8 weeks bleeding profusely in huge chunks from their, possibly, torn vagina. Unable to sit properly. Or piss without it burning. Or even shit without bursting into tears. Or, you know, if they had to have their abdomen sliced open, they would have to deal with that. And you might have had abdominal surgery at some point. So maybe you could see why someone might not want to endure that.
And I mean, since you’ll never have to worry about losing your income due to pregnancy and then thousands of dollars worth of bills that start rolling in before you’re even back on your feet, I can see why that doesn’t seem like a big deal to you.
But why don’t we just trust people to make their own medical decisions. And if it’s something you’ll never have to worry about, that’s even MORE reason to just mind your own business.
I was just wondering please calm down
I’m perfectly calm. You were wondering. I told you. If you didn’t want to know, you probably shouldn’t have asked.
OP: why would anyone ever want an abortion? Someone who has been through pregnancy: *provides a detailed answer* OP: Jesus Christ calm down
My point is that she was very aggressive. I asked for some one to explain their opinion and she aggressively told me to mind my own businesses. She did explain her side i was just asking her to calm down
You find the details of pregnancy and childbirth too aggressive? Good. Now imagine having to live it. Particularly against your will.
There’s the answer to your question.
Male entitlement, I swear to fucking christ.
I think that accusing women of “killing” something is very aggressive OP.
When women aren’t censoring ourselves, reassuring others and apologizing at all times, we’re seen as aggressive. Sheesh.
