One of my favorite projects for The Sims 3 started with a simple thought: what if TS3 had its own modern technology ecosystem?
The biggest inspiration behind this idea was Arnie’s Plumfruit mod for The Sims 4. I always loved the concept of a complete ecosystem of connected devices and services, but nobody had really brought something similar to The Sims 3. So I decided to try.
That idea eventually became PrismPad (a tuned version of MultiTab 6000), then PrismPhone.
What started as a simple tablet and smartphone replacement quickly evolved into something much bigger. Today, the project is growing into a complete ecosystem of devices (you already know about PrismHub, a smart home mod) and services designed to modernize The Sims 3 while remaining faithful to the game’s original design.
More devices, more integrations, and more surprises are already in development.
P.s.: Some interactions require a functional world, such as Online Newspaper, which displays all newspaper interactions instead of only “Check Weather” (as shown in the video).
I’m going to create some posts here to showcase the WIP, and I’ll also publish a few videos on my TikTok account.

Both PrismPhone and PrismPad share most of their functionality. In fact, they combine interactions from smartphones, computers, and the MultiTab 6000 tablet into a single experience.

I'm working on a Smart Home mod for The Sims 3. The PrismHome Hub mod is made to work with the game’s existing systems whenever possible, while adding new ways to control and automate the household lot.
Features include:
Security System
Enable or disable a simple lot security system directly from the hub (Burglar Alarm).
Lighting System
The Lighting System is based on a reverse-engineered version of the game’s own automatic lights behavior. Since the game already detects when a Sim enters a room and turns the lights on, PrismHome expands that logic by also detecting when Sims leave the room, allowing the lights to turn off automatically when the room becomes empty.
It also includes automatic outdoor lighting: outside lights turn on automatically at 6:00 PM and turn off automatically at 5:00 AM.
It also supports light intensity and color options using the game’s native light system, plus Night Mode, which lets players set a schedule for dimmer automatic lighting.
Sprinkler System
Manage lot watering from the hub, with options to enable the system, water manually, stop watering, or set a watering schedule.
Maintenance System
Includes Energy Saving, which turns off TVs and stereos when no household members are home, and Maintenance Alerts, which notifies the player when broken objects are found on the lot and an option to call a repairman.
Temperature System
The Temperature System automatically reacts when Sims receive hot or cold temperature moodlets. If the system detects that a Sim is too hot, it cools the indoor environment; if the Sim is too cold, it warms the room instead.
When active, it uses the game’s own temperature comfort moodlets, such as Pleasantly Warm and Pleasantly Chilly, to make the indoor space feel more comfortable without replacing the game’s original temperature system completely.
Entertainment System
If a compatible cinema screen is placed on the lot, PrismHome unlocks Cinema Mode. When Sims are watching, only the lights in the same room are turned off. But you need Large as Life Movie Screen from Le Cinema Plumbob.
If you want to test it, send me a message here, please.
If you’ve ever used the Sims 4 Tray Importer, you’re going to love this tool for The Sims 3!
It was created to make life easier for players who use custom content (CC) and want to keep everything organized or to share fully CC-included Sims in a quick and practical way!
(The first version was ready in October from last year and I'm publishing it now lol)
🎮 What does this tool do?
✔ Automatically copies all .package custom content used by a Sim, Household or Lot into a specific folder.
✔ Includes an option to compress the folder for easier sharing or storage.
✔ Works with both individual Sims and full Households (or Lots).
✔ Can also help you identify which .package files you no longer want in your game.
🌟Features:
✔ It copies the folder structure from your Downloads/Mods folder, including only the necessary files, keeping the CCs organized.
✔ Compatible with three languages: Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
(If your system language is not one of these, the tool will default to English.)
✔ Clickable thumbnails to quickly open the thumbnail file location.
P.s.: If you’d like your language included, just send me all the tool’s text already translated, and I’ll add it.
🙏 Credits and Thanks
Special thanks to Peter Jones for S3PI (package reading library), and to Kitilith for the idea and basis of their Find Merged CC tool used in this project (credits will be included with the readme file as requested on their GitHub) and to Tashiketh for CUSTARD Sims3Pack Cleaner (sims3pack reading code).
I’d also like to thank Ash (@cowplantcartel) for testing this tool in every build. 😅

1. The S3CC Exporter is finished! It can now read and export .sims3pack files directly from the game folder. I’ll release it soon (I should have done this two weeks ago).
1.1 I also renamed the tool because “Exporter” didn’t really fit anymore, lol. It’s now called S3CC Packer.
2. I’m working on a few Sims 3 mods too, and I can’t wait to share them with you. I’ll post some previews soon - I just need to focus on one thing at a time because I somehow started four mods at once. 😅
3. I’m also planning to finish the merged CC splitter tool this month.
A special thank you to @remaron @cowplantcartel @hemerasims for following the whole process behind these projects and always showing so much support and excitement. It really means a lot to me. 🫶🏻

⚠ Important – Please read before using!
🔹 Windows only, sorry. :(
🔹 You must use only .package files when creating your Sim or building your Lot.
🔹 You must convert the .sims3pack content exported from the game to .package format before scanning the custom content it uses.
🔹 If your converted .sims3pack files were separated into multiple packages, you need to merge those packages again to make it easier for the tool to correctly find and gather all custom content (or you select one by one to verify).
🔹 Right now, I'm also working on adding support for reading Sims3Pack files directly, which should make the process even easier in the future.
This ensures the tool can properly detect every file being used.

Unmerge tool for those who don’t have the separated backup anymore and it exports in batch.
and yes… it works with sliders and skins too.
The only problem is with clothing and hair (including facial hair, except for eyebrows and body hair), because the program extracts the resource name from CASP, since the filename that would be in the manifest (an XML file) is lost in the merge with S3PE. That's why random numbers appear, but this doesn't happen with other files, for example, sliders, skins, and objects. I haven't tested it with accessories and makeup yet.
P.s.: I'm still working in my S3CC Exporter and now it reads .sims3pack easily. I'll be updating the tool on Patreon this weekend.
I'll apply the S3CC Splitter user interface to the S3CC Exporter (whose name I intend to change) in its final version.

🌸 Unique "TagValueNumbers" - Part 21 🎁 For my "CAS Filters" mod! (Patreon)
🎉 THIRD UPDATE RELEASED!
💬 79 🔁 598 ❤️ 2646 · 🎁 [BG] CAS Filters -- I did it, baby!
🎓 INSTRUCTIONS (IMAGES) NOW AVAILABLE! · ☠️ REMINDER: Double-check the OP for u
If you find that I have added a filter for your content to my mod and you do not wish to allow simmers who download your content to be able to filter your content under your creator name while using my mod, you are welcomed to request that I strike your filter from the mod and it will be removed in the following update.
—
We are now in the post-release phase of this project, which means new filters will be added in "feature updates". HOWEVER, if there is a 9-digit "ID" assigned to a creator filter in my glorious spreadsheet, it can be added to content ahead of the next "feature update".
I will try to provide JSON files for all "PENDING" filters ahead of "feature updates". If I do, they will be available on the Patreon post and any mirrors that permit me to share JSON files.
As always, you are welcome to request any name added to the list, but you are also welcome to request a 9-digit "ID" if one has not been assigned yet, and also request a JSON.
Simmers can also request personalized "IDs" for personal use, similar to how I made one for "my anonymous friend".
—
Tumblr appears to have a limit for how many users I can @ in a post, but I would like to @ everyone on Tumblr when I create filters for them, as a way to notify you about what I'm doing and so simmers who see this post can find you easily.
I might come off as an egomaniacal arsehole at times (always for good reason), but it's because I care about our community.
I opted to not re-blog the Tumblr OP linked above because it is subject to lots of changes and Tumblr doesn't update the "preview" of re-blogged posts, HOWEVER, you're more than welcomed to re-blog the Tumblr OP and/or this post.
🌸 A UNIQUE 9-DIGIT "ID" FOR EVERYONE:
The 9-digit numbers following your name are to be used in the "TagValueNumber" field for the "SpecialContent" TAG.
Each 9-digit "ID" is unique to the creator it was made for - it is based on your creator name. I made them using a slightly convoluted system I devised in order to ensure that every "ID" is unique and that the filter list in CAS maintains some semblance of alphabetical order. These "numbers"IDs" can potentially be used for other things, but we'll get to that later.
🎓 HOW IT DO, PIKACHU:
If you're well-versed in creating or modifying CAS content, all you need to do is add a new TAG to your swatches - you can do just the first swatch, but you should do all swatches - and change the "CategoryNumber" to "127" (without the quotes), and change the "TagValueNumber" to the desired 9-digit "ID".
For everyone else who is new to this, there are detailed instructions in the form of easy to follow screenshots attached to the Tumblr OP and the Patreon OP, with further text-based instructions in the Patreon OP.
Individual JSON files for Sims 4 Studio for each filter TAG are also available, to make the process of adding these TAGS easier.
