One Shot 2 Kills with my Crosman 1377
Tack Driving from 15 feet with a 1979 Benjamin PUMP Model 172.
Over the Shoulder ricochet shot at Air Gun Gulch
July 4th we were fortunate enough to host some lads from Great Britain to celebrate Independence Day with us. I bought some Cowboy hats for them and set up a shooting gallery to introduce them to an American tradition. I taped a drinking straw to a can, ran a string through it. Pull the string tight and anchor it on both ends. I have them Daisy Bb guns to start with, the cans about 5 feet away. As the cans get farther away they get a little harder to hit each time. An excellent training exercise disguised as fun. Two strings and cans and you have a can drag race. These young men had never fired a weapon of any kind and in no time they were hitting their targets on a regular basis. We moved up from BB guns to multi-pump and break barrel pellet rifles with scopes I had dialed in to shoot tiny targets like aspirin tablets. They were hitting 2" targets more often than not. Then we moved on to firearms. I brought my Ruger Mark IV, a S&W .380 semi auto came with another guy, a 22lr bolt action rifle and a 12ga single shot shot gun. The lads had a blast. Most satisfying for me was that it wasn't an exercise in frustration for them. After they were finished I made some long distance, freehand, open sights shots with a replica Winchester 1866 air rifle and a 1377 air pistol. And an over the shoulder shot at about 20 or 25 yards.
I missed my calling.

If you shoot your Red Rider over your shoulder you won't put your eye out.
When I was a young boy I used to hunt squirrels and rabbits with an old Benjamin pump Model 310 or 312 22 caliber rifle. I have no recollection of what may have happened to them at gun. Later in my late teens I purchased a Benjamin 22 caliber Model 132. I still have it and dug it out for some plinking. That started something. I now have more. I think I started something.
