not to seem dramatic or emotional but i know how hard it can be sometimes creating things on the internet, the pressures of trying to feel good enough about what you create as well as the anticipation hoping people will not only notice it but also enjoy it. there can be a lot of negativity and a lot of things that might get you down so i just want to let you know that whatever it is you’re doing or creating is amazing, you’ve worked hard, and you should absolutely be proud of yourself no matter the amount of notes or amount of followers or messages you may receive.

it’s easy to look at others and compare. it’s easy to wonder why you’re not good enough and it’s easy to question why you’re not getting the results you want even though you worked hard on something. lately it’s even easier to notice conversations and things being said that can be judgmental or just plain cruel and then begin to think bad about yourself. but really, don’t let those things and what people say and what they think a content creator “should be” allow you to change what you want to create. i see things all the time dismissing people’s writing for grammar or popular tropes or maybe even writing about someone too often, or maybe their story isn’t long enough or maybe it’s pointless but it was still fun for you to write and it’s become routine for people to sit and criticize others in a very unhealthy, not constructive way. it’s sad actually to be so discouraging for no reason at all so i am here to tell you please don’t pay attention to any of that.

whatever you want to make is completely fine. if you want to write something that’s already been written then do it because no one is writing 100% brand new and fresh concepts. it’s been done a million times before but what makes them interesting and special is the fact that you’re writing them. you’re putting a piece of you in that story and it’s becoming your own. you’re offering something of value whether people notice it or not.

it’s okay to not have perfect grammar or sentence structure or maybe you’ve simply overlooked some typos but you’re still writing and learning and growing and every story you write you’re improving. i know a lot of writers don’t even speak english as their first language and yet they still want to write stories for people to just read and enjoy and that is really amazing. please be proud of yourself!

the more you write the better you will become, so don’t let anyone else discourage you. everyone deserves to have that chance to express themselves creatively without fear of being mocked or criticized or made fun of by someone else. everyone deserves the chance to learn from their mistakes and become better… and you will. we all will if we don’t let this negativity get to us. be proud of yourself and just keep creating the content that makes you happy!!
