Deadly egg recall

The FDA has upgraded an egg recall issued last month to “Class I,” its highest risk level, as it warns the public that consuming the products could cause “serious adverse health consequences or death.”

The recall of 1,589,577 dozen white-shell eggs and brown cage-free shell eggs was initially issued by Midwest Poultry Services in late July, which warned they might be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis.

According to the company, the eggs were produced and distributed from farms in Texas between June 6 and July 3 and have sell-by or best-by dates between July 20 and August 17. The recalled egg cartons have either the code P-1950 or 0840962 and Julian Dates between 157-184.

Hello ultragifters, It's been up in the air on if I want to host ultragift this year. I've had a rough one. I think everyone has, & I'm also Expecting to be even busier leading up to Christmas than I have in the past.

Since I'm really not sure what to do, I wanted to put it up to vote. Please feel free to weigh in in replies as well, I want to hear what you all have to say.

Also, I've decided to start looking into additional moderators. In the past I've been very, very hesitant to let people on, because l'm particular. But as my life gets busy, the events getting a little too much for me to handle on my own, even at a smaller size. call me terminally academia-brained but i do think a lot of the fun of character analysis is figuring out how to build a compelling argument for a particular reading using lines of evidence from canon as well as meta/intertextual support

and you could say that what i’m saying here is basically “a lot of the fun of doing character analysis is doing character analysis” but let’s be real a lot of fandom character analysis is pretty heavily vibes-based. and i think that’s where i really chafe up against the traditional thought-terminating fandom attitude of like, everyone’s opinions hold equal weight and any interrogation of that is inherently hostile. because i think it’s fascinating to dig into where others are coming from in terms of their views on characters or dynamics or whatever, especially when they differ significantly from more commonly expressed views, and part of that digging is asking people okay what parts of canon are you drawing from to support your opinion? what parts of canon are you disregarding or downplaying? how does this argument hold up in the light of how race, gender, class, ability, etc. operate both in the piece’s in-fiction and real world contexts?

THIS IS A HOAX. DISCORD IS NOT HIDING AI BOTS IN YOUR SERVER.

the bots you are banning are ones that can be used when a user adds bots to their profile, they feed stuff to ai when someone prompts a command, and it wont hide that its doing it. THEY ARE NOT USED FOR DATA SCRAPING SERVERS THAT DIDNT DIRECTLY ADD THEM. And even then, im unsure if theyre used for data scraping discord at all since i'm not bothering to look it up atm.

I'm unsure if banning them stops users from using it in your server via their personal apps, but these are not hidden in your servers. Someone has to explicitly invite them.

i cant confirm if discord is feeding our messages to AI in some other way, but it is not through hiding bots in your servers. These are bots that people use to generate stuff with slash commands or by replying to a message with a slash command.

I've seen this hoax go around a good few times, though im happy its significantly less harmful than the stupid mass hack hoaxes. However, it's still a hoax.

Discord would not NEED to hide bots in our servers to scrape our user data and messages, they HAVE our user data and messages. You know this if youve ever requested data from discord

if you want more proof you can ban people from servers that arent even in the server as long as you have their user id. Heres me banning my alt account from a server its not in.

thats one thing i actually wish people would speak about more in relation to trauma, often trauma especially trauma within children is not dictated specifically by What Happened but how their emotions to the traumatizing event or situation were responded to by the trusted people in their life. two children can go through the same exact experience and the biggest factor that changes their reaction is how their parents respond to their reaction, or if their parents had already taught them coping skills that were applicable. so many parents and guardians panic and freak out about how they can prevent their child from being traumatized by outside forces, but every child will encounter multiple traumatizing events just due to the fact that that's a part of life. the important part of parenthood is not doing everything you can to prevent an event from happening in the first place but learning and preparing how to provide them with tools to help them cope with whatever happens if something happens. i feel like this is an argument that can also aide in the support of anti-censorship but i never see anyone talk about how if parents stopped worrying about banning shit and started worrying about learning how to explain things and help guide their children to have healthy views on things they'd have an easier time managing their childrens internet use. which is just odd to me that people don't bring it up.
