leo shakes his head as he runs a finger across his lips to wipe off the excess of alcohol left from another sip. “ analise, my love, haven’t i told you before that the only way for us to feel young now is if we hang out with twenty somethings ? they are so much better than us & don’t even know it yet. ” they will, one day, once they’re closer to being forty than they are of being thirty & signs of a midlife crisis begin. N O T that leo, in all of his thirty-six glory, would know anything about that … “ and, either way, i’d rather be puked on by a twenty something than a child. ” was tone of distaste a dead giveaway of how unprepared he was to be a father ? “ but, fine … if you must, we shall live up to the infernal reputation of our thirty something lives & stay home until our bodies decay, not even of old age, but of boredom. ” ever the drama queen, he throws the words into the air as if he’s quoting a great author, standing up & fighting for all the unfairness in the world. he then shrugs and adjusts his seat on the couch, prepared to continue drinking. “ so, go on then, grab your bottle of wine and tell me all your sorrows. i got my bottle of vodka and as long as i drink it, i’m a certified psychologist. ”
she’s in no place to judge , nor does she feel the NEED to ; she had been in similar place not long ago . and though there are times ( hasty blurbs ) where she misses that life , that brief period of time where she was doing exactly what leo suggested their night consist of , it’s never long lasting . ❛ in what god forsaken world are twenty somethings better than us ? we’ve got years of wisdom and experience on them that they simply cannot match with their higher tolerance for alcohol and seemingly better metabolism . ❜ she’s shaking her head , distasteful scoff pulled from roseate brims . ❛ are you absolutely mad ? a child’s throw up is way better , well --- a baby’s anyway . it’s just a small little up chuck . with those drunken girls god knows they’re hurling up all their guts . you’ve really got a warped perception of babies leo . ❜ analise laughs , only because she knows from EXPERIENCE than a baby’s mess does not come anywhere near that of a grown adult’s . she rolls her eyes at his dramatics , already moving swiftly into kitchen to retrieve her own bottle before returning to his company and plopping herself down next to his frame . ❛ my sorrows ? why leo , my darling , don’t you know life is so wonderful , hilariously , punch you in the face perfect ? ❜ the smile on her face and her tone is thick with sarcasm .
