Sora was turned into a vampire in the year 1908, a woman in her early twenties, she is actually 118 years old. Sora is someone people think of as cold and resolved, which she isn't. Tired of pretending to care about things that don't matter like her past, she lives in modern times working as a late night bartender. She often keeps herself out of other vampire affairs that may occur as she just wants to live her life. Like most people, she is a working class woman with a phone, her own car and drivers license and also has some streaming subscriptions. She is also very knowledgeable due to the many years she has been living, although she still has a hard time adjusting to modern slang, which she has to often look up on the internet. She usually keeps to herself. She also has a black cat name Luna after her favorite talking cat in Sailor Moon.
At first glance Sora is sarcastic, observant and far more patient then she appears. She doesn't raise her voice and when she gets angry tends to be quieter although her voice still has some stern in it. Due to her many years of being alive, she doesn't trust easily and will at times not trust anyone at all, she has spent decades watching people age, change, fall in love, grow old and disappear which because of this allows herself to NEVER grow attach to anyone, It's easier for her having lost so many people. Blunt and distant, she does have a soft side that is only shown to people she trusts and when she thinks no one is looking which makes her a favorite among the bartender scene as customers usually come to her to talk or vent about the day.
She has a good memory and is often able to remember the littlest things someone tells her. If someone is drunk she'll make sure to take care of them in someway which includes: taking their keys, calling a cab/uber, or if she knows the person drives them home herself. When it comes to affection she is really bad at it, compliments make her uncomfortable and she might not even notice the compliment being sincere, she is alright with physical affection as long as It's not in public, when it comes to people she knows she does show genuine concern but at times it might be met with a sarcastic comment or a change of subject.
Unlike other vampires, Sora isn't a bad vampire. Having been turned by force, she isn't the kind of vampire who murders humans or waits in a alleyway luring them to their death. She has rules. She feeds from blood banks, animal blood, and donors (willing). Although human strong is stronger, she refuses to become dependent on it. Sora has heightened sense, accelerated healing, enhanced strength and the ability to move quite fast. She can seduce or compel people but she refuses to use it unless it's on people she dislikes (criminals, murderers etc).
As she gets older, It starts getting difficult to hide her true self, people will start to notice, she will try to eat human food but it will either make her sick or taste like ash, she can sleep but she rarely has dreams, just mostly flashbacks of her life prior. Sora is stuck at the age she was turned, and in order to keep people from finding out who she is, Sora has to leave a location every 10 years or so.
Not much is known about Sora, except that she was born into 1908 and she was a orphan. She often doesn't talk about it as back then she was forced to become a street walker in order to support herself. This resulted in her catching a disease that slowly was killing her, while on her deathbed she was changed by someone, a vampire. After waking up she was furious and tried numerous time to stake herself, she was a monster and hated the man who turned her. She hated not being able to see the sunrise anymore and couldn't stand the fact she was immortal while those she cared for withered away. Eventually coming to terms with her new life, she became more quieter and accepting. The one who turned her disappeared in the 70s leaving Sora alone, she has never bothered to find him unless it was to kill him.
As the years went by she eventually reached the modern day. Sora by this time was working as a night-shift bartender in a small town, this allowed Sora to start understanding the new era by meeting new people at the bar without actually having to interact with them. She is often dealing with customers who have cheating spouses, who is there because they are lonely, who is going to cry in a bathroom although she tries not to notice usually.
Sora lives in a apartment above a old books store, filled with thrifted furniture and dying plants, she often has objects she has kept through the years stashed in a box or two in her extra bedroom. Her favorite item is a music box from 1912, and a picture of a woman (most likely her birth mother). She never throws things away, It's hard for her to do so.
Likes Sora has some things she likes such as; Rainy Nights, old music records and going for a walk. She has dislikes as well such as sunlight, being touched without warning (she will freak out due to her trauma as a street walker), vampires in novels being romanticized.
Sora has a bad habit of eyeing someone's throat when she is thirsty but usually catches herself and often looks away. Her biggest fear i not dying, It's losing those she cares for and eventually turning into a real monster. She also has a bad habit of forming attachments although she refuses to do so, she has a bad habit of getting involved with something or other people's problems and she will complain about it most of the time or insist she doesn't care, but at the same time she will show up when someone needs her.
