London’s Calling || Clay & Lexi

Lexi couldn’t deny that she found Clay’s excitement absolutely endearing and she certainly wasn’t going to rain on his tourist parade. Every time she returned to London it felt like a new place to her. Of course, some things would stand the test of time. However, it was a city that grew and breathed with a rich culture. The chance to share that experience with him meant the world to her. She stayed back a little just to watch the wolf suss out the exit. Chuckling she smiled up at him, “I’m very impressed Mr. O’Connor.” The redhead bowed her head as they slid into the cab. Grinning widely she took a quick snap of Clay marveling out the window. “Oh, sweetheart it’s a good job you have natural stamina! You are going to need it after I’m done with you.” The redhead grinned playing with a strand of her auburn hair. She intended to show him everything that was worth seeing. She’d almost forgotten her surprise, “Ah yes my ominous surprise.” She grinned unable to hold back her genuine excitement. Her mind did drift a little as she looked out her cab window. Pulling her from her haze she heard the driver come to a halt outside their hotel. “My, my… This is wonderful. I’m stunned that I haven’t stayed here before.” The redhead grinned. “Good find, Sir.” Lexi complimented as they walked into the parlour and were escorted to their room.
The redhead beamed brightly as she took a close look at the interior of the room. Setting down her YSL handbag on a side table she beelined to the bed before jumping onto it. Rolling onto her side she eyed the mini bar in the corner, “Fancy a cheeky tipple, Governor?” She offered in the most put on British accent she could muster which could only be described as Mrs Lovett from Sweeney Todd.
Clay couldn’t wait for Lexi to drag her around London and show him all the best places to see, all the good tourist traps and all the secret little spots of wonder that only someone who lived there would know. He couldn’t think of a better guide to have. “If you don’t run me ragged I’ll consider it a failure.” He teased. Clay was very pleased with his hotel choice, it was fancy but not lavish and central without being ridiculously expensive. “You know I spent three days just looking at hotels when I was planning this trip.” He grinned, dropping their bags off to one side before he joined Lexi on the bed.
Clay had to laugh at that accent but nodded and went to grab them two glasses and the best alcohol the minibar could provide. It was expensive, extortionately so, but this was a fun trip for the two of them, so Clay didn’t mind paying. He handed Lexi one glass of whiskey before holding his up in a toast. “To our friendship and this amazing trip no other friend could pull off.” He smiled brightly.
