Them Story ((OOC))
((This’ll probably be drafted before I fall asleep because I just got done working and I’m tired. But I finally have ideas in my head for both Samuel’s and Cristobal’s origins. I’ll start with Samuel, the first one to run the shop.
Samuel and Cristobal were both born in the same litter, but were also the only ones in the actual litter of kittens. They were near-identical, apart from being different sexes. This led to them just being called The Twins. They were born in a mountainous, forested area much farther from the Sands.
Samuel opened a shop with Cristobal at a young age, and they quickly became two of the most well known vendors in their homeland. During this time, Samuel determined multiple things, including how he never wanted to marry, let alone mate or seek any type of romance. He simply wanted to secure a future for his sister and any other family members that might come into play. Eventually, the war against The Moths came to their homeland and forced them to flee. They kept moving until they found the Sands, where Samuel determined it would be a good place for commerce. As many long-time followers know, Samuel died sacrificing himself for the Ancient Cats to save those within the Sands during the Crunch. He currently watches over Cristobal in the spirit world.
Cristobal was always considered odd by the cats of her homeland. Hissing at nothing, quoting the “Pot of Wisdom” as a source, even threatening those who didn’t treat inanimate objects with the respect they deserved. Cristobal has a connection with the spirit world, which allows her to sometimes communicate with Samuel. She had a romantic relationship in her homeland which led to her pregnancy, soon giving birth to the children whilst in the Sands.
And that’s all I can solidly give. If someone can update the wiki pages while I’m asleep, that would be amazing! I love you all and have an amazing night/day!))
((awwww I love it!))
Origin Story!
((So @powderpeacock100 posted Gok’s backstory so I figured I’d post Vera’s. It’s kinda long so I’ll apologize right now if this clogs up anyone’s dash.
Vera was born and raised in a city far away from These Sands. She lived in a nest on the top of an apartment building and spent her youth being doted on by her adoring mother. She was an only child, as her siblings had never hatched, so her mother was incredibly protective of her darling Vera and rarely let her leave the rooftop. Vera as content with this, though, because she loved her mother dearly and had no real desire to leave her home anyway.
Vera lived a very sheltered life. Her interactions with other animals were rare. The only time she ever saw mammals were when the apartment maintenance workers came up to the roof, or when the odd squirrel ran across a gutter. To this day, she is still unsure of what exactly a mammal is, as she is confused by the variety they come in.
Her life of seclusion ended quickly, however, when she met Jebediah, a male crow that lived in the park across the street from Vera’s apartment building. He stopped by her nest for a quick rest one day while flying home, and the two were immediately smitten with each other. By this point, Vera was an adult crow. She and Jebediah were married within the year and she moved into his nest, where she got her first real look at the world her mother had been so afraid of.
She and Jebediah had three sons: Maxwell, Albert, and Benson. Vera loved them more than life itself and was completely happy with her life. However, it didn’t last long: Shortly after her three boys learned how to fly, horrible news came to the park: Jebediah was dead. Apparently, he had met his fate under the wheels of a passing car while trying to grab a penny off of the street. It was going to be a gift for Vera, who, as a crow, loved anything that shined.
Devastated, Vera took her sons and left the park. Together, they flew out of the city and into the countryside, where they found an abandoned nest that had apparently been found by a hungry predator: it was filled with broken eggs and feathers. Tired, the four spent the night there, only to be awoken later that night by the sounds of cracking. Apparently, one of the eggs had survived!
The hatchling was a very small chick, a boy, who instantly won Vera’s heart. She took him in as her own son and named him Jeb, after her husband. Jeb was actually a raven, not a crow, but that did not matter to Vera and her boys, who treated Jeb like one of the family. However, Jeb was born prematurely, and with a lame wing. Vera knew that he would never fly, and so she carried him on her back for the remainder of their journey.
What happened next is a mystery. Vera and her sons somehow found their way to These Sands, where they set up a shop and sold what every crow loves more than anything else in the world: shines. Maxwell, Albert, and Benson made themselves useful by working as delivery boys for the shop, while Jeb stayed with his mother and helped fill out orders. Vera is still sad about the death of her husband, but she is happy with her life in These Sands and could not be more proud of her sons.
So basically, what we learn from this is that Vera is sort of naïve when it comes to the real world, she was doted on as a child and treats her children the same way, she has loved and lost but still overcame, and that her sons mean the world to her. She’s a tough momma and I love her like that.))
(( this is so good!!))
((Thank you! I hope it makes sense, I kind of wrote it on the fly))

Story Time
(( Helloooo…. Here’s Gok’s story……
Gok started life as a pet peacock belonging to a young girl in a rich family. The girl- who called Gok her ‘little prince’- gave Gok everything he could ever want, leading to him becoming somewhat of a spoiled brat. Gok lived in a mansion, complete with a huge garden, along with the girl, her parents, and two other peacocks- a baby called Justin (whom Gok thinks of as his baby brother) and Richard (an elderly peacock who’s lived with the family for as long as anyone can remember, whom Gok believes to be his grandfather and The King of peacocks). There is also a white peacock who wanders the gardens at night- nobody is really sure who he is or where he came from, but Gok believes him to be the ghost of his deceased father. Gok still gets dreams about this mysterious ghostly bird, which he believes are premonitions of the future.
How Gok came to be in Sandsverse is not clear, but having lived a very sheltered life- he’d probably never left the grounds of the house he lived in before he came here- everything is very new and confusing to him, and he often ends up arguing with other vendors.
The ‘Lady Mother’ that Gok often refers to is actually the human girl who was his owner. Gok isn’t entirely sure what a human is, and thinks of her as a strange, mystical creature. He also thinks she is very wise, believing she knows everything. Gok adores his ‘Lady Mother’ and looks up to her.
Gok mentions that one time he and his Lady Mother had to disguise themselves as human royalty to avoid danger (Gok was Marie Antoinette, apparently)- this was really just a game of dress-up. Gok and his 'Lady Mother’ share a birthday- November 5th ((which is also my birthday)). Gok is Named after fashion stylist Gok Wan. That’s about all I can think of that could be even the slightest bit interesting or important.))
((This is adorable awww! I'll post vera's origin story later. You've inspired me :0)
((I'm not on my melody account but!! hella I wanna know Gok's story!!!! I have some weird stuff going on with melody anyways so I'd love to hear what you've got))
((Helloooo! I might do a post about Gok’s story soon, if you’re really interested. I need to share it anyway- I’ve had a story for Gok for ages now and I was thinking of making a page for Gok on the sandsverse wiki, but I realised it’d probably be better if someone made one for me, as I’m useless at that kind of thing, and they’d need to know Gok’s backstory to make it.))
((I can make Gok a Wiki page! I made Vera's, though it's been edited by other people.))

Are There Different Types Of Mammals?
How Many
Not sure
At Least 3
So Confuse
Someone Should Explaining Mammals.
Where Are They Feathers?
They have called “Haire”
Is like Thousand Tiny Tiny Feather for Warmth But No Flying
Then What Is Point? Same Warmth Can Be Acheiving With Feathers. They Should Transition From Haire To Feather; Much Happy That Way
