verity salvatore lived an extremely complicated life, as many of you know— complications that most of us wouldn’t be able too handle; but verity being the strong, independent woman she was— she could handle it. i’m pretty sure that she could handle anything thrown at her & that’s why everyone loved her.
she wasn’t one to whine about her problems— she’s a woman who could handle them herself & even when you offered her help she’d turn your assistance away. not because she was proud but because she wanted to prove just how independent she was. which really no-one needed proof of because we all already knew just how independent she was.
the love for verity was undeniable; she was loved dearly by many of the towns people— by her siblings; damon & stefan… & by me; her boyfriend. & she made a huge impact on all of our lives; an impact we’ll never forget & will never want too. she made our lives worth living.
you would not believe how long i’ve been awake trying to write this eulogy… it took me all of last night & early ours of the morning & all i could think about is how much i’d miss her. how much everyone would miss her. she was my life & now that she’s been snatched from me so early, i honestly don’t know how i can go on living—- but i will because i know that verity would want that & i know that even in death; we’ll find one & other because we’re supposed to be together. always & forever.
verity cared about many things in life but the thing she cherished most was her brothers. they’ve stuck by one & other for years— ever since she was born, i guess you could say. their bond is unbreakable & even i know that even in death, they’ll live as one… & i’m not even a fan of her brothers but they mean the world to her & it’d be cruel if i didn’t add just how much she loved them, in this eulogy.
she also cared a great deal for her friends— i know of only two great ones; kol & katherine. & i know they mean the world to her despite our differences. & what kinda boyfriend would i be, if i didn’t include them? i know they made verity’s life just that little bit easier & her that little bit happier & i wanna thank them for that because sometimes— i was an ass & i could see that i didn’t always make her happy & i hate myself for that.
i know verity wasn’t prepared for this, you could say; she still had her whole life ahead of her. in all honesty— no-one was prepared for this, least of all me. & on the day i heard the news that she was close to death, i wasn’t a great boyfriend & i wanna apologize for her because i love her so much & i never got to show or prove that to her. no-one expected her death & no-one was ready for it & we all would of done anything to save her but we knew it was too late & she was gone.
i just wanna conclude this eulogy with the fact that she’ll be missed dearly by everyone she both loved & everyone who loved her & she’ll never be forgotten. she’ll always be in our hearts. & wherever she may be now; whether it’s on the other side or where she deserves to be; heaven— we’ll find her. i’ll find her.
i love you, verity. please come back to me? find me. or i swear, i swear on everything i possibly can— i’ll find you. because we aren’t over, we’re just beginning baby. i promise.
i will never give up on you. on us. i will search forever if i have too. believe me baby, i will.
