”Of course, Hakuryuu! It was fun to poke at you,” he mocked lightly, hovering his wand around the boy’s side and coming awfully close to actually poking at him. It was interesting to have a chance to see for himself what his candidate was capable of, and even more so to mold that into the way he wanted. He already had him in the palm of his hand which made it considerably easy.
An attentive expression appeared on his face as the prince offered him a place among his routines. After all, Hakuryuu didn’t seem like too much of a busy one. It made him a bit upset inside that he couldn’t just drill him for the rest of the day which was his preference. If there was a threat approaching, he had to make sure his pawn was ready and at his best, but he would of course quell such things.
”Oh? You’ve got plans, princeling? What’re you up to?”
Hakuryuu stepped away in response to Judal's playful tactics and instead focused on moving towards the palace doors. His face remained as collected as ever as he pulled the handle and swung the door open whilst stepping foot instead and taking in the scent that erupted from the building. A mixture of flowers and Kougyoku's exotic perfume danced throughout the halls, it seemed. But it made him feel more at home and gave him comfort.
"I am just going to work on overdue paperwork. You are welcome to join, but if you intend to be a distraction, I would rather you stay here," Hakuryuu responded coldly. He couldn't afford to have any interruptions, no matter how "cute" the intention. He was already being scolded for not getting anything done as of late, given that he was working so hard on his training.
Of course, he was only working so hard to get better and be of more use to his friends.
