( Karnal, Judal: )
There were no pretty words or actions for war, only bloodshed and grief. Karna knew this best as a Ksatriya, but the sound of weapons clashing, the sight of bodies scattered against a war-torn battlefield, it was the closest the demigod ever felt to a home.
As peaceful as this realm has been, as much fun as he had been having living such a simple life, his life still remained at the tip of his spear, the son of Surya just waiting for a suitable commander to tell him where to point it.
With two others, although he didn’t quite know all the details, Karna was given a task, so it would be suiting for a Servant of the Holy Grail to obey without question or doubt. It was simple; covertly take out all enemies in the camp. Stealth war tactics were not his expertise nor did he approve of them, but he was determined to follow the directive to the last detail. Silently, he signaled the other two behind him to still their breath as much as allowed. For this to go as smoothly as possible given the apparent enemy’s strength, it was imperative that they remain quiet.
They had discussed the plan before the mission started. The easiest way would be to flank all sides with the three; Hau taking the west, Judal taking the east, and Karna would eliminate all north of the campsite. The demigod could not gauge for himself what their strength was nor how cooperative they would be, but he had already planned for both situations. After all, he would be even more of a mockery as a king in his past life if he failed at leading and commanding armies. If one should struggle, he would aid them, but if one should act uncooperative, Karna would simply stop them with the full brunt of his might.
Once the enemy had began to head into their tents until not a single soul but the three remained, he gave the signal for them to start the mission before dashing quickly to his area
As much as the quest sounded exciting, the situation is similar to the Aether Foundation’s takeover with Team Skull Grunts or Team Rocket. Hau can’t help but feel a little nervous about taking a serious quest from one of the islander’s request. Hau grimaced, the aspect of war was a little bit known in Alola except for the ones he heard in Kalos. Legendaries warring over who reigned supreme isn’t new to the Trainer. He was thankful Solgaleo and Lunala seemed neutral with each other, Save it for a fallen Pokemon named Necrozma.
He doesn’t know how it happened but one minute, Hau was looking for some people to join with, other groups are already taken. Yet, he doesn’t know any of these guys. Judal and Karna, is it? The boy mentally noted. Geez, they gave me a Gladion or Guzma vibe but I should be concerned over this mission right now for the sake of good food or something. He was following Karna from behind along with the other. His Pokemon was kept safe for the time being in his Pokeballs because most of them are kinda misbehaving.
The trainer was home away from Koi and this new adventure is making him even more nervous and at the same time, exciting. It was not your usual day of being grouped into some guys you barely knew but he hoped that they are friendly to be. When he spotted Karnal’s signal, Hau nodded and immediately followed suit.
“Here goes nothing, West side here I go.” He muttered to himself in a low whisper. The boy tiptoed around, and hoped not to awake any of the sleeping enemy. For a moment, Hau felt like he was in a crazy cartoon doing stealth tactics around the campsite.
A determined look is shown on the boy’s face that he’s more than a kid. Once set, he looked at the other guy named Judal expectantly, waiting for them to make a move.. He wished them both good luck!
Acquainted with death far before any man should be, hands that appeared to have never worked a day were already stained in the blood of hundreds; tormenting and flushing numerous lands in war and loss came easy to the abhorred Magi and the desperate request of the smalltown villager pumped fresh excitement into withering veins. Had Koi remained so dull, the dark haired youth could only grimace at the thought of being complacent in his inaction with nothing more to do than dully practice magic; though paired with two others in his travels, Judal harmlessly doubted that they could ruin a simply stealth tactic. Whether one treads gently or wisely, it makes no difference once the first man is murdered in his sleep; therefore, like any war mongrel, he would be naught but cruel.
Perched upon his staff, idly floating with legs crossed and occasionally swaying, he idly waited with nothing but placidity upon his visage; gazing upon the other two in his group, the utter concentration each had towards the task at hand was nigh laughable— their victory had been preordained, there was no need to be so fretful. Grateful to be placed upon an island, he had already began gathering water to use at his disposal and he fully intended to use it to herd their foes in like cattle if they came to realize their rightful fate; it was only out of safeness to think so far ahead, especially after having scarce knowledge on either of his teammates. Voice low, he opted on a remark prior to their dispersal, ❝ So serious. . . Try not to piss yourselves, pffbt. ❞
Lips curling into a brief smile once signaled, the Magi promptly departed towards his post and was quick to freeze the mass of water he had been carefully gathering in preparation upon his arrival; red hues darted between the other areas, patiently waiting before striking the deathly quiet campground.
