5 year old wingman
The image that flashed across the screen was of Frank holding Penny with Tanner leaning close, marking the first year's of life. Evidence of the time that had passed since he got to spend with the kids but more importantly it was a sign that it was a call from the house phone instead of Langdon's cell. "Abby?" A tearful response was not coming from Abby but instead Tanner. "Tanner, where's daddy?" A broken string of words around sobs spiked his heartrate. From what he could make of it, Robby could come up with *daddy's gone, his belly's open*. "I'll be right there."
Honestly, the doctor had thought the worst especially after trying Langdon's cell and getting voicemail. The entire drive was a blend of concern of what could be wrong and anger that Frank might not have plugged his phone in last night. It was actually a nice change from the anger and guilt had had been feeling lately.
His bike hadn't settled it's wobbling before his hand landed heavy on the door. Bringing a panicked babysitter into view. "Where's Frank?" Robby wasn't interested in the hesitant verbal stumbling. "TANNER! PENNY!" It was immediate as he called into the house for a red splotchy face Tanner to rush the door. That was as good as an invitation to go in as any. "What's going on? Are you or Penny hurt?" He didn't mean the look he sent the woman at the door to be so judgmental before the room was inspected. "Where are Frank and Abby?"
The woman sighed, settling down a little. "Abby's at work and Frank had therapy. He should be back any minute. Robby, why are you here?" The child was looked at again. "Tanner, who's hurt?" A small hand wrapped around his to guide him to where Penny sat sad against an oversized bear with a tear in it's stomach.

Will finish and possibly redo the art after this cold breaks
Nightshift Frank at handoff
After his sabbatical, Robby's caught by Crus telling him to collect his boy from Dr Abbot only to have Abbot tell him Langdon's not suited for the nightshift because the kids keep him awake throughout the day so he's exhausted and Jack's started letting him nap through the last hour of work unless it's life or death where he's needed.
Not rly an ask but love the way you draw langdon's deadpan expression. Idk if it's intended but it's so funny to me 10/10
I'll take whatever kudos I get
So people can 'see my process'
Things are pieced together on paint with the help of crop, copy, paste. Then the edges are blurred with the 'soften' or 'smooth' option.
Then once I have the reference photo how I want it, it's done on paper.
Yes, I use reference photos from anime, manga, random google searches of 'cute boyfriend photos' or 'motorcycle' and things of that nature and I've been exposed to a lot of art styles thanks to anime and manga and artist alleys at conventions I go to. And I'm currently out of work waiting on a CT scan before surgery can happen so, yes, I've had tons of down time to kill some sharpies so the blog's gotten some extra activity. No, I don't do digital art because honestly, I'm still using a laptop from years ago that's all taped up despite having new ones I haven't touched because I like the weight and the key spacing because this one has a number pad and the others don't and I like the sound of markers on paper. Yes, I use sketch pad paper because one xmas I bought a ton hoping to get the people I'm around into art and have extras but I hate having my hand on top of the rings while I'm working so I rip them out. Inking the photos can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours after the computer cropping work. And then when I feel like going to the desktop, I scan the pages onto the computer.
If it's not clear the next one is a Langtaker one
Is all of your art traced generative AI?
Huh? All my stuff's hand done and my edit's are done on paint then the edges are smoothed on picmonkey
