Beautiful weekend spent along the New Dungeness spit. After 9 days of bad air quality from all of the fires, we were antsy to get off and put in a good 13 mile run/walk along the water's edge. A GENERATIONAL HEADSTAND My grandpa stood on his head till he was 86 years old. He was born in 1911. Challenge accepted grandpa! 💪 1 day, I will be like you. Grandma was all about women's strength. She was born in 1920. I never understood why she was so happy I got my driver's license, because that was another tiny check off of my list. But now I understand. I was blessed with a mother and father who never tried to tell me I wasn't good enough. To them, I was always good enough for everything. They gave me so much strength to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually healthy. 🥰 Cheers to the millennial generation. In Alaska, we never had the opportunity to have so many sailing neighbors. On anchor, our neighbors were always the wildlife around us. I love being on anchor and watching other people. What homeowners never say, "Oh, I just woke up. As I was floating in the water and drinking my coffee, I watched my neighbor climb up his mast and fix something. It is up close and personal, but far enough away. Working on a custom solar mount, and upgrading our electrical system to have a floating home with more creature comforts. After being offgrid for 5 years, we know more of what we want and how to build it ourselves. Solar and battery technology has gotten exponentially better.
