Been awhile huh?

Anyway I didn’t like how the returning premade looked so I gave them make-overs and even changed their traits

Some people have been asking me how I fixed the vest outfit from Cats and Dogs so here is a little tutorial as to how.

It’s not great as I’m no use to making tutorials.

So the main issue with it was that some of the weights on joints were miss painted. So they needed to be fixed.

So first things first open your mesh in Blender.

When an area of the mesh is blue it means it has no weight and won’t count as part of the selected joint. In the case of this mesh part of the back right knee was counting as part of the left calf joint.

Another issue that came up was that small areas on the left thigh joint weren’t being counted either. To fix this switch Subtract to Add and paint over the area just like in Step 7 until the areas blend in with the rest of the joint.

Now just check your results in game. I usually do this by going into cas and playing around with trait animations and walkstyles. You can also go in game and have your sim do activities with lots of motion such as dancing and yoga. If stretching is still happened just go back in to blender and either “Subtract” to the weight or “Add”.

Arch light fixes

Here’s something that I learned from inabadromance a couple of months ago. The arches in game have this weird “glitch” were they boost the light from one room to another. This has driven me crazy to the point where I have stopped using arches altogether. I was thrilled when I heard of this simple fix and decided to go ahead and override all in game archways. I’ve merged them into one single package and the file only includes the light resource so any other override should work fine with this. Happy Simming!

Update 171125: Added 1 missing archway from the base game. Added archways from the Vampire GP & Cats & Dogs EP. The 2-tile archway from C&D had a small error in the cutout which I’ve also fixed. You can see that  in the third picture.

Been awhile hasn't it. Anyway here's another fix from me to you only this time it's not a simple laying issue or texture issue but any actual mesh issue. I was surprised when I saw this fantastic outfit be basically unwearable (at least for me) because a part of the mesh is stretching weirdly. What this file does is replace LOD0 so that there isn't any more weird stretching. And if you're wondering why things might look a little different (mainly my font choice) I got a new computer and somethings are different (like how I don't have that font on here)

I’m alive and I’ve updated my content on modthesims so everything should be compatible with CnD. Sorry for not posting or making any content for the last several months but I’ve been busy with work and just everyday life in general. I’ve also just gotten myself a new computer so still sorta getting everything set up good new though I can actually play the sims 4 on high settings and it looks amazing.

Where I’ve Been

Idk if anyone has been wondering where I’ve been or what happened to me but if you here’s what’s been going on.

If any of you play Final Fantasy 14 you’ll know that the next expansion is on it’s way and since playing the game for about a year have been working on getting through the main story and the first expansion so I’ll be ready for the next one. I have just finally got caught up so I should be able to start playing the sims again and working on content.

Now FFXIV isn’t the only reason I haven’t been focused on the sims the other reason is that the sims isn’t interesting me as much now. CL was nice but it didn’t bring enough change in gameplay. For the most party it’s the same game just with added activities and careers but nothing that adds to my experience and the Vampire GP was also nice but didn’t expand or change my game enough. My hope is that next quarter The Sims Team will tease a new expansion pack in their quarterly teaser. Preferably pets, university, or seasons, you know things that really add to the experience and change how you play.

So after make two items mainly for girls I thought it was time to make something meant more for our little boys but still universal so I decided to make the Sport Henley from Backyard available for toddlers. You can find the Henley in Top under T-Shirts. Comes in all 12 colors and is set for Everyday wear.
