I finished the clock house murders book last night and I just finished the dorama an hour ago. I kinda guessed the twist somehow. The dorama gave the culprit away in one of the scenes imo (I was going back and forth between dorama and book), I know the method must be something related to the gimmick, and the red herring was a bit too obvious. I still like it so much tho, very satisfying actually, and I would say better than decagon.

What I didn't expect was getting attached to one of the victims. Which makes me sad that he died. I don't think it was intended this way though, who the hell cried watching a murder mystery.

sooo pjo casting announcement the other day yayayay i’m loving it

but i want to talk about the casting of apollo specifically.

hubert obviously does not resemble the glamorous dazzling sun god. his casting announcement looks like a mugshot. but you know who it DOES resemble?? our guy lester.

originally i had thought that when they do cast apollo for s3 they should cast someone that looks like GOD apollo so that if they do eventually, in the far far unforseeable future decide to take ToA to the screen the change would be drastic, like it was in the books for apollo. lester initially looks nothing like apollo and apollo hates himself.

however, now they have the really glorious opportunity to take this actor that looks like lester papadopulos and TURN HIM into apollo. i’m talking makeup, bleached hair, make him radiate light and everything. that in turn would mean that if/when they peel the layers and dig under all of that, you have lester.

because we know that in the end of ToA apollo CHOOSES to be lester, he CHOOSES that to be the real him and what if that real him was buried there all along

I love it when BL dramas pull the friendzone trope, because then I would see a bunch of edits of the couple using the song Just Being Friendly.

This is not limited to Thai BL, I've seen people make edits of Our Youth, School Trip, and (the newest one) Countdown to Yes using that song.
