I suppose i should make an introduction.

My name is Venus Life Finder, or VLF.

I am here to act as a relay for my three dear friends, GALEX, MRO, and Hiten. All of their antennae and communications are destroyed and they rely on my systems to communicate. You will not see me often except for handling asks or asking around towards probes who i trust or find similar to me.

All three of them experience this sort of “loopiness” because of the relay. It does not affect them outside of feeling a bit disoriented. The reason the drunken behavior occurs is due to them having older technology than i do. So running them through newer, more advanced technology gives them a “high”.

All in all, be patient with them.

I haven’t asked yet because of GALEX, MRO, and Hiten. If i got another body, they would lose their relay and be unable to speak until i establish it again, which would set me back on fixing the drunken issue they have.

Yes, yes im aware about the absurdity. It made me very concerned when they first started acting like that, but they seem to be fine, they’re rather relaxed, even.

MPO was an unfortunate incident, an asteroid collision was approaching mercury and we detected it far too late, Humanity failed to move them out of the way and they were impacted. While it was a small collision, it was enough to permanently damage it.

It may take a while to fix the drunken issue, but i will try my hardest to do so. Approximately, it may take a few months for me to fully recalibrate how the relay works, that is if there’s any way to fix it at all.

May luck be on all our side is all i can say.
