My spouse has been trying to sway me into making the IF a visual novel/RPG instead of a ChoiceOf (text only) experience.

I’ve been hesitant (300x more work than “just” writing and coding) and i still am

BUT i just thought of a really cool design element for the main character .

#i still dont know tbh #vis novel rpg would involve a fuck ton of art assets #and audio and additional coding #and i worry it might not be as accessible? idk do the IF crowd and visnov crowd overlap at all I really don’t know #would people enjoy getting to imagine EVERYTHING or would some art assets be a fun addition #hmmmm

I’ve been reading again and was reminded that I was going to post book reviews here YEARS ago. Especially because I’ve been skimming House of Leaves (again)!

Unfortunately the book most on my mind right now is one I deeply dislike, and is a bit of a tumblr darling at the moment. So despite it being fresh I’ll be waiting to post a review on that. But the first may be a horror novel I like quite a lot so look out for that!
