30 Days of Productivity
I want to try and tackle July, and make myself better at not procrastinating. So, because 100 days is very intimidating and a slightly unhealthy standard to hold yourself to, I’m going to do 30 days of productivity.
My rules are that the productive thing doesn’t have a specific definition. Like, I don’t necessarily have to do something for school or go to work every day. The productive thing could be that I went on a walk or something. And there won’t be pictures as part of the challenge because I know I’ll use that as an excuse to procrastinate lol
Day 1: I did 45 minutes of violin and made a rough outline of my chemistry assignment.
Day 2: Fixed outline of chemistry assignment according to the structure from my teacher. So far, only 15 minutes of violin but that will be worked on.
Day 3: 20 minutes of violin. Made a practice plan that can be followed for tomorrow.
Day 4: helped out a charity for a few hours this morning with family and a friend. Feels good to make a difference
Day 5: a full hour of violin. The first time I’ve managed it this month and I’m super happy about that.
Day 6: wrote out music for another song to play for my aunt’s wedding. Walked a 2.3km walking track, and added two hours to my driving logs.
Day 7: above. I don’t know which day I missed writing for lol
Day 8: wrote yet another song for the wedding and started teaching it to my sisters. Also wrote half of the rationale for my chem report and solidified the rest of the outline.
Day 9: finished rationale, research question, methodology and results for my chem report. found a part of it I need help with.
Day 10: not much time for my own work today after being at my job for 9.5 hours, but i wrote more notes for my chem assignment and did 30 ministers of violin.
Day 11: my productive thing today was to have a rest day, mostly. Got braces put on my teeth so I wasn’t up to schoolwork or violin. But I finished writing another song part.
Day 12: almost completely another rest day spent with a friend. went skating and reconnected with another friend which was good for me emotionally so it counts
Day 13: went for a walk after work with my dog.
Day 14: an 8 hour work day (that was supposed to only be about 4) didn’t leave much in my plan for myself but I did some self reflection and journaling
Day 15: had what was supposed to be a 3.5 hour rehearsal for the musical I’m in next week but was only two because the cast was working through things which let the orchestra off the hook. Had a wonderful conversation with a close friend.
Day 16: started my music theory work, outlined two of four pieces. another musical rehearsal.
Day 17: developed a research question for psychology report. Wrote lots of numbers for chemistry report. Two hour rehearsal
Whenever I start these types of challenges something always happens to throw it off and it doesn’t work for me. I’ve been sick for the last few days, days 22-24. And I’ve forgotten the rest of the week before because of this. So rip.
