I just realised i havent posted one yet

I don’t wanna put my name on here so it’s either R or V/Veritas, my blog name (which i recently found out is Barkovitchs name in a fic, kinda scary)

I’m 16 and trans (ftm)

How each of the TLW boys plays D&D

my only credentials are two years of D&D and a fuck ton of thinking on it. Musketeers + Stebbins, Collie, Gary and Harkness for now but I could do side characters later

(long post, below the cut)

Ray Garraty: Barbarian of some kind. Probably dwarf or halfling. Does not fully understand the story and has to frequently reference the notes. Not great at roleplay. Combat is his favorite part, but he doesn’t fully know the rules. Hates side quests and doesn’t adopt NPCs often. No backstory. Has like three dice sets.

Pete McVries: Always a class with extra proficiencies (bard, rogue and I think monk). Halfling for their lucky feat OR any species with built-in spells. MURDER HOBO. WILL burn the orphanage. Somewhat invested in the story, does alright in combat but often derails it when he gets bored and distracts the table. Characters don’t really have backstories. LOVES adopting NPCs. Doesn’t take it too seriously and loves causing chaos and giving the DM headaches. Local dice goblin. He has thirty sets already and will have more.

Art Baker: Tabaxi Wizard. Necromancer. Loves using magic. His character is vaguely morally grey as in villain going on their redemption arc. Good at role playing, often acting as the moral compass and progressing the story. Takes notes on important stuff. Adopts every NPC he meets. Character has a dark backstory that’s kinda basic but he’s having fun with it! Very invested in the story, yells at Pete for getting off track. Okay at combat but mainly bc he knows fireball. He once accidentally fireballed the party. He has never forgiven himself /j Has ten dice sets that are all very nice and pretty.

Hank Olson: Monk /derogatory. My friend once had a lvl 5 monk that one-shotted an ADULT DRAGON. THAT is Hank Olson’s character. Backstory: sparse but there. Roleplaying: chaotic. Almost as bad as Pete. Combat: HELLSCAPE. Always rolls over 20s and rolls 8 dice for damage. Had to be banned from playing monk so he started being a healer (Cleric/Paladin) just so he’d stop one-shotting enemies. He’s realized the error of his ways (making combat not fun anymore) so he chose to be healer so he could still help without killing everything. He’s still a chaotic motherfucker tho. He WILL fuck the dragon. All of his dice as mismatched and stolen.

Collie Parker: Chaotic Bard. His character actually has a thought out backstory and a reason they are the way they are. Pete’s chaos is mostly out of game distractions or random shit but Collies chaos is mainly in game, keeping the DM on their toes and progresses the story in ways the DM never expected. Doesn’t take notes but has a good understanding of what’s going on. Alright at combat but prefers roleplay. Good at both attack spells and defensive spells, generally chooses to help his party rather than kill enemies. Will take it seriously if the DM wants but is mainly quite silly. Also will fuck the dragon but would pay child support if they had a kid, unlike Hank. Also a bit of a dice goblin but not as bad as Pete.

Billy Stebbins: Plasmoid Artificer. Exclusively plays expansion species/classes/subclasses. Knows more about the game than the DM but does NOT condone meta-gaming. Has a twelve page backstory and gets IN CHARACTER. D&D is his escapism. Characters usually have daddy issues but no one comments on that. Could be a menace in combat but prefers to let others shine. Doesn’t need notes - he knows the lore off the top of his head. Has custom minis and dice sets for all his characters.

Richard Harkness: Some kind of multiclass. METAGAMER. Exclusively plays elves. Gets yelled at for trying to stick too closely to the rules. Monster who only has one dice set. BUT he did write a backstory and he does take copious notes. Takes the game too seriously tho. Got kicked out of a campaign once bc even tho his character didn’t know devils had fire immunity he kept insisting that he knew that so he would tell the group not to use fire spells. Has since chilled out.

Gary Barkovitch: Tiefling rogue /derogatory. Seriously tho he’s the guy who NEEDS YOU TO KNOW his character is the edgiest even tho the backstory is something you could find on any twelve year olds deviant art OC. Yeah we know, he killed his parents, he hates himself, there’s a darkness within him, he refuses to open up or make friends, he’s haunted by nightmares. WE GET IT!!!! Keeps trying to homebrew shit to be edgier but no one will let him. Bad at sending his character info to the DM. ARGUES with the DM. This is not based on anyone I know definitely /sarcasm. Very bad at combat, details roleplay to do his own thing. Will probably get better eventually he just has shit to work thru xP Uses digital dice because he’s a monster.
