Just thought I’d pop in to say I’m completely fine with being IM’d for plotting purposes of if you’d just like to ask me for a casual thread.                    「 ☠ 」—» If there was one place on Earth where Nico di Angelo didn’t want to find himself in, he would probably guess it would be something like a forest filled with cannibalistic, demonic spirit creatures. You know, just as an estimate. And yet, here he was. Gods knew why. This whole night had been weird, from the discovery that he couldn’t take off the costume he had been wearing (a punk-esque grim reaper outfit that consisted of a rummaged black over-the-head hoodie, black jeans, and a plastic scythe), to the realization that his plastic scythe was now made of wickedly sharp steel and hard polished wood. At this point, it was all getting a little old.

                   So, really, the magical cat girl didn’t even surprise him. It was just one of those nights. What did surprise him, however, was her assumption that he was here to look for the creature said to be lurking within the forest before them. He was definitely not there for any such thing as that, though really, what was Nico here for? Hell if he knew. The demigod wasn’t even quite sure what had lead up to his arrival at the forest, or what sort of mindset he had been in when he’d made the journey. Everything had been getting a little warped in his mind the longer the night had gone on, so by now the best option seemed to just be to play along.

                   Still, there was no way in Tartarus the son of Hades wanted to venture into those woods. Opening his mouth to protest the action, Nico was determined to not take a step into the trees, and yet… the guide was already walking through the looming trunks, and the choice was all but taken from him. A look was shot to the costumed girl before Nico sulkily followed.

                   ❝ We can look, but I, for one, hope we don’t find it. ❞

          ❝ So...you're standing at the entrance to these woods where the creature is said to lurk, but you don't want to go in at all? ❞ Sounds fake, but okay. She'll go along with what he's saying. Regardless if he wants to go or not, she will even if it's by herself. That's what she had made up her mind to do when she first thought about coming here anyway.

          Without saying anything else, she looks their guide beyond the tree trunks now, being careful not to step on any small animals or important plant life, lest she earn the wrath of the forest later when they sought their way out. Hands move to push branches out of her way, paying no mind to the boy who followed behind her warily. The guide in front of them trudged forward, explaining about the general area and how the rumors had surfaced in the first place. Rin didn't pay them any mind, she instead focused on their surroundings, listening closely for any signs of life aside from the three of them.

          The deeper they went, the darker it became until there was only the ghostly white glow of the moon the guide them. The only sounds that could be heard was the voice of the guide and the crickets that chirped in the distance. ❝ I wonder just how far we're going to go in before we see anything. ❞ 

          ❝ Oh, that's right, ❞ she remembers, turning to the boy who followed alongside her, ❝ You don't want to see anything...completely forgot you were here for a moment. ❞

        As much as she'd have liked to dismiss the rumors concerning the creature, when Rin had first heard of the presence of the Wendigo in District Auburn, it had immediately piqued her interest. Such a creature was only talked of in legends and to think that people living in the district had seen a such a thing was rather...horrific. And so without much thought, she'd decided on going to see it for herself just to see whether it was true or not. After all, anything is fake unless seen with your own two eyes. 

         It hadn't been that long of a journey to her destination, but with exchanging her usual light attire with a costume it made it just a little harder to move around. The frilly skirt coupled with the cape and wand...plus the cat ears and tail was a bit much, she'd admit. But it was all about getting into the Halloween spirit. 

         The sun began to set behind the trees as she finally made her way to the District, a local stood at the entrance to the deep wooded area and next to them stood someone who was probably like her, looking for the creature as well. His costume was nothing special, grim reapers were common...but it was a good choice for Halloween attire. She approaches the both of them. ❝ I guess I'm not the only one looking for this...creature. ❞ Hands move to either side of her hips now as she gave a sigh. She should’ve expected as much.

“Not even gonna cut me some slack on Halloween, huh? Oh well, can’t say I don’t deserve it. In fact, I wanna apologize to you. All those things I said about you were inappropriate. I know you’ll never forgive me, but I wanna apologize regardless.”

          ❝ As much as I'd love to say I don't accept your apology, you seem sincere enough about it. So I suppose I will, just this once Kumagawa. The next time you say something that displeases me though, there will be no mercy. ❞

       ❝ A costume contest? Well, it's short notice but I guess this will have to do. ❞

         It's not often that she's bumped into on the street...but when it does happen, it's her fault usually. It's one of those days, unfortunately. Having bumped into a man for not paying attention, she falls onto the ground, different assortments of gems fall from her coat pockets fall onto the ground from the impact. She scrambles to pick them up, but doesn't stay silent as she does so.

         ❝ You--! Watch where you're going next time! Do you see what you've done!? ❞
