So… who nominated me for Valentine’s Day King?
I have no idea... although it appears as though we've both been nominated for king and queen.

I Can Feel Your Heartbeat|| Elijah & Veronica
He looked back at her this time taking both of her hands into his. “No, I’m not. I’m really not… but I think with you I might get closer then I’ve ever been. Veron, you’re my North Star; you lead me back home. And it make sense doesn’t it? I mean, home is where the heart is, and you’ve stolen all of mine.” Elijah was breathless as he reached forward colliding his lips into hers. Elijah wasn’t a man of many words, and he could never express himself easily. But something about Veronica made it so easy. He could say things to her that he never thought he could ever say to anyone. You should tell her. You need to tell her. Elijah didn’t want to think about secrets now. He just wanted to feel her lips on his. He just wanted to be with her in this moment forever. He just wanted her.
Veronica moved her lips against Elijah's and wrapped her arms against her neck. They fit together perfectly as she pushed closer to his body. She pulled back slightly smiling against his lips. She leaned back slightly, her arms still wrapped around his neck. "You are mine," she whispered as she leaned back in for another kiss. Mine. Mine. Mine. Mine...

He laughed in disbelief, reaching her hand up to his lips and kissing. “I guess I just didn’t know anyone could feel that way about me.” he admitted. He was sure his eyes were shining, and he could feel his cheeks burn from his smile but he didn’t care. She choose me. She actually choose me.
Veronica gently lifted his face and steadily looked into his eyes, "Elijah, I don't know how you could think that. You are perfect." She gently pressed a kiss onto his forehead and sighed as she leaned back in her chair smiling like a fool.

Elijah smiled gently, and took her hand in his, looking straight into her eyes. “I just wanted to ask… why me? Of all the guys in the school, why did you choose me? I mean… you’re amazing… and I’m just… me…” he sighed, exasperating a huge breath. He wished she could feel the wave of warmth her smile produced; the electricity he felt every time his skin touched hers. She was close to perfect, and he wasn’t. But around her, he felt good enough. Around her, he felt better.
Veronica looked at Elijah completely shocked. "Why? Why?! Because one night I decided to go get a midnight snack and I ended up meeting this kind, giving, loving, amazing person that is you. I am so happy to have met you and I need you to understand that. I need you to believe me because you make my heart race, and my palms sweat, and right now, looking at you I feel butterflies in my stomach." She looked into his eyes smiling softly as she tried to reassure him of her feelings.

Veronica smiled nervously as she stared back at Elijah from across the table. Elijah got up from his side of the table and walked towards her. “Can I ask you something? And answer honestly.” He sat on the table next to her, looking down at the ground.
Veronica gently lifted his face and whispered, "You can ask me anything," She giggled as she felt his breath on her cheek. "I wouldn't lie to you. I hope you know that." She saw an emotion flicker so quickly through his features she wasn't sure it was even there, but she cast away her thoughts as she awaited Elijah's question.

Elijah smiled, watching Veronica’s face from across the table. “I just wanted to… to let you know. That, I really like you.” Elijah laughed nervously, hoping that this was all enough to make Veronica realize that he wanted to be wither her more then anything. She made him happy, and god only knows he needs that now.
Veronica blushed furiously and looked everywhere but his face as she said, "I like you to. A lot actually." She smiled and finally looked back up at Elijah. She almost gasped at the emotions swirling in his eyes. She's never really had anyone look at her this way and it made her heart race. He made her heart race. And even as she was enjoying the growing feelings inside of her she couldn't help but be terrified as well.

Elijah’s fingers gently curled around Veronica’s as they journeyed to their date night destination. She pestered him with question after question, but his lips remained sealed with the help of a sly smile. Finally, they came to a secret passage, hidden my an old still painting. “Okay, now be warned, this might be the best first date you’ll ever have the pleasure of attending.” He warned, as they descended down a steep, narrow staircase. They finally reached a panel in the wall, and Elijah slowly pushed it open, revealing a breath taking scenery. They had reach an under-ground harbor, right where the edge of the boathouse was. Besides the traditional boat ride in for the first years, the boathouse was extremely under used and the perfect place for a secluded getaway.
The lake’s deep, dark water was to vast to freeze over and instead kept a slow current that lapped against the sides of the house. Elijah had decorated the old house with moondews, arnicas and moonseeds. The moonlight blared through the tainted glass walls, and combined with the soft candle light that illuminated the rest of the space. Although the boathouse was open to the brisk winter winds, Elijah had placed a hex on the building to keep it warm enough for the two of them, the entire night. The sight of it was beautiful, even Elijah had to marvel at his own handy work. “It took a little while, but my teachers don’t mind if I spend some time putting my energy into other projects since the hospital…” He looked back to her, to see if she was impressed, or not at all phased by his ideas.
Veronica gaped at the scene before her. "It's breathtaking," she answered. She smiled as she saw his face sigh in relief and gently grabbed his face, "Why would you ever doubt the beauty of this place? You certainly know how to win over the ladies." She giggled nervously at her lame joke and let go of his face refusing to look him in the eyes as she walked around admiring the landscape even more than before when she was interrupted by Elijah coughing nervously. He glanced at an elaborately set up table and a wide smile spread across her face as she slowly made her way to table. She sat down and looked up to see Elijah seated across from her giving her a small smile. This boy is going to be the death of me. "You were right," she blurted. She laughed as his brows went up in confusion, "This is be the best first date I have ever been on." A smile so big it looked like it hurt appeared on his handsome face and she smiled right along with him.
I Can Feel Your Heartbeat|| Elijah & Veronica
Elijah scrambled around his room looking for the other side of his shoe, glancing down at his wristwatch frantically. Punctuality was never his strong suit, but he had hoped for Veronica’s sake, this could have been the one occasion he was on time; early even. He hated the idea of keeping her waiting which only encouraged him to move even faster, sprinting from his dorm room and down the Ravenclaw Tower. The castle was down to a dull roar of students with little activity occupying it. For a Friday night, things seemed to be quiet, but maybe that wasn’t such a bad thing. Since winter break, Elijah had been trying his hardest not to get to distracted, with Veronica and Lucy as exceptions. He wrote numerous letters home, almost one everyday, but still no word came from his parents, or Liv. As hard as he tried to put it out of his mind, his family was constantly weighing down on his conscious.
He shook his head, not wanting to cloud his mind with unhappy thoughts. Tonight, he would only focus on Veronica, the new voice in his head; the one he had no trouble listening to. Something about the way she smiled and carried herself drove Elijah crazy. The way she threw her head back when she laughed, or the way she danced along with her favorite songs were details that played constantly in his head. As these thoughts slowly overcame those of his family, we could feel himself relax again.
When he turned the corner to the entrance to the dungeons, he almost had to stop and stare as Veronica stood there waiting looking… beautiful. Her long, silky hair was let lose and fell around her in a golden halo, framing her shoulders and face. Her eyes shined bright in the dim lighting of the hallway, and her skin looking almost flawless. She wore a black sweater messily tucked into a a deep green skirt. In heels she was almost as tall as Elijah, but not quite there yet. He approached her, taking the sight of her in bit by bit. “Veron… you look… amazing.” Elijah struggled to find any words that could possibly sum up the sight of her on this night, but none were fitting.
Veronica leaned her back against the wall and bit the inside of her cheek nervously. She looked down at her outfit in despair and tugged at her sweater. After minutes of imagining every possible way she could ruin this date, footsteps announced Elijah's arrival. Her heart dropped as she took in all his features and insecurity plagued her mind. She stepped away from the wall and tried to smile, erasing all of the emotions at war withing her. She allowed an easy smile to cross her face as he complimented her and she struggled to respond, "Th-thanks... You look amazing yourself." She tried to calm her nerves but all her efforts went out the window as he gave her a small smile and grabbed her hand leading the way to their destination.
