The discovery that men don’t find Margot Robbie attractive in Birds of Prey really just drives home the fact that I have no idea what straight men find attractive, and neither do I care
I honestly don’t know if I want Nora and Alejandro to end up together at the end of the season or if I want Nora to be single. Both have pros I’m for. If she is single, she can build herself up again and heal but if she ends up with Alejandro, she will learn what real love is like and how healthy relationships function. She’ll probably be scared to be in a relationship after Miquel so maybe Alejandro will help her get over that fear🤷🏽♀️
yes exactly. i feel like both situations can or can't work out. i don't want nora and alejandro ending up together, and that feeling rushed in a way because they want them together at the end of the season, so.... i'd rather if they just make them talk or something about their future together and for them to take their future relationship as slowly as nora will need, because she'll need time to recover from this and immersing herself in another relationship right away isn't one of them.
alejandro giving nora a genuine smile even tho he's seeing her hugging miquel bc despite still having feelings for her he's just glad to see her "happy n safe" bc he knows that their relationship is history n nora wanted to move on so he's trying to be happy for her n seemingly succeeding at it bc he just cares abt her so much to put his own feelings aside
Notice how since the whole thing with Jorge (so since Miquel started to show his true colors and making Nora’s life more complicated) Nora hasn’t posted a cover yet, she’s completely getting shut down from this relationship, he’s sucking away all her energy, personality and identity. FUCK MIQUEL AND ALL THE MEN LIKE HIM, it truly hurts thinking of Nora at the beginning of the season putting so much effort into her look to feel good, being so strong about her opinions, organizing the trip with the girls, worrying about Viri, being excited about her YouTube channel, being so lively going to theater and bookshops with this new guy she liked (as much as we didn’t like it she was happy) and seeing her now barley singing since the concert, not bothering to put makeup on, arguing with her friends, spending her time staying inside with Miquel, constantly doubting her thoughts, getting so stressed by the guy she likes that she felt the need to get intoxicated, always being on edge. I agree that this is not the Nora we expected to see and it’s a bit of a shame but it’s because this is also the story we were not expecting to see, when you put the two things together how the story developed and how Nora’s character changed then it’s very fitting, it’s supposed to be like that ‘cause that’s what abusive relationships do to you little by little, they drain you and they take away the person that you were.
When people say that España has the “worst” Noora becsuse Nora changes through being in an abusive relationship...
1) Was OG Skam S2 and the other remakes just a fever dream I had? Cause I’m pretty confident that Noora’s entire characterization changed once she started dating Willhell, and in fact, she explicitly says herself that now all she cares about is being with Willhell. No one ever notes that this is a negative thing despite Willhell being controlling and manipulative. Every. Single. Other. Remake. Has focused on the Noora changing for their William with little to no pushback from anyone but the Noora, who suddenly is conflicted in their basis ideals but is pushed to change by the story because it’s “love.” (Of all of these, Druck is the ONLY one to confront this by the end of season 4 and even that sucked because it cut into Amira’s story.)
2) Nora herself AND multiple characters have noted how much Nora has “changed” since being with Miqhell and none of them seem to think it’s positive. Her relationship with Miqhell is clearly treated as manipulative and controlling by the narrative and is now slowly being seen that way by her loved ones as they’re exposed to the realities of them. Nora is very clearly being manipulated by a charasmatic, charming and smart older man - of course her behavior is changing because she’s in an abusive relationship. And I have no doubt that unlike other Skams, it won’t be treated as her “growing” or “learning” that he’s not such a bad guy, but by her figuring out how to be herself again.
