"Are you going home too?" he asked her sheepishly and Kie had to bite the inside of her cheek to not start crying.
He sounded almost scared of her leaving, like a little kid afraid to be left alone in the dark with monsters under the bed and although he tried to sound casual with his words, his gaze betrayed him 'cause he was looking at her with puppy eyes silently pleading for her to stay.
Good thing was that she had no intention to go anywhere.

In the aftermath of the hot tub scene in season 1 Kie spends the rest of the night taking care of a drunk and broken JJ while also trying to convince him to go to the hospital the following morning... but in the end all he needs is just right there next to him.

He genuinely thought that nothing could ever compare to what he was feeling in that precise moment, never had he felt so disoriented.

Picking up the story right where we left it on 4x05 with JJ dealing with this life shuttering revelation, breaking the news to everyone and learning how to accept it thanks to Kie’s help…while also dealing with some complications.

She couldn’t recall exactly a moment when things shifted between them but they surely did at some point, her energy with JJ seemed to be gradually growing different than the one she shared with Pope and John B.
She loved them all the same and she definitely didn’t pick favorites, but she could tell that with JJ it was slowly getting more and more intense and charged with a new type of tension, almost as if it was building up to something.

They were still the same Kie and the same JJ but better, closer and even more of a team.
They were still the same kids who challenged each other in the water but that now would also occasionally get distracted by a couple of kisses here and there. They had simply evolved and slowly discovered new levels of intimacy little by little, but still remaining true to themselves.
Moments like this that solidified this truth were incredibly precious to him.

A little missing moment on how the Pogues dealt with Sarah and John B’s disappearance set between S1 and S2; as long as the three of them kept that promise of being a Pogue for life it was going to be alright just like JJ told her and she believed it.

Taking it all the way back to S1, this takes place during episode 1x08 the night Kie and Pope have the fight on the Pogue over her Kook year and JJ is there to pick up the pieces as he discovers what truly happened during Kiara’s year at the Kook Academy.

10 months after returning home from South America JJ is finally living the life of his dreams: financial stability, a houseboat, a business of his own and most importantly Kiara by his side but when Luke makes a sudden appearance back in Kildare, JJ will be forced to face his past and find the strength to close the last chapter of the life he left behind ‘cause for the first time he has something to lose.
Love getting woken up in the night by a 6.2 magnitude earthquake happening in the middle of the coast that basically made the whole of the South of Italy tremble 🙃
Living in a highly touristy southern Italian city isn’t for the weak… it’s only May and I’m already soooo done with all the massive crowds of tourists, can’t even walk in the streets 🙃
Me and my friends canceling plans since we can’t go out tonight in the city center ‘cause two rival mafia clans in the area have been threatening to open fire and kill each other during the Patron Saint festivities and have been in fact shooting up places all over the city for the past two weeks already killing 2 innocent people but OH WELL, at least a TikTok girlie is probably fingering herself right now fantasizing about her “mafia aesthetic boyfriend” 🫠
I’ve been on such a writing roll this past week that I’ve even surprised myself.
There’s this one fic I really loved and I really was proud of which I started writing over a year and a half ago and that only had 1-2 chapters fully completed before it was then left untouched ever since, for about a year I have not touched a single thing.
I don’t know why but somewhere around last week I got back at reading one of the unfinished chapters and I very spontaneously started writing some more which unexpectedly put me in the mood to write and write and in a completely turn of events I went from not having the will to write at all to wanting to write in every spare moment of my day.
I missed this more than I realized and I know it probably sounds weird ‘cause it’s just fanfics, but writing is something that I have always enjoyed doing ever since I was little and I feel like I finally got back a piece of myself that I had lost for a long time and I didn’t know if it was ever gonna come back.
GOD I MISSED THIS, SHE’S BACK!!! (No one moved, rightfully so lol)
The fascist Italian prime minister and her minions in the government wanted to change our constitution to have major control over the judicial system AND THEY LOST THE REFERENDUM ‘CAUSE THE ITALIAN PEOPLE SAID ‘N O, FUCK YOU!!’

Me reading back the only 2 chapters I’ve finished of the 11 chapters fic I’ve started over a year ago thinking how proud I am of it and how good it would be to post it if only I wasn’t such a procrastinating little bitch who re-reads the same 2 things in the drafts instead of starting a new chapter 🙃

Spent the entirety of last week saving fics I wanted to read TODAY ‘cause I finally have some time off only to go to bed and wake up the next morning with Ao3 down
I don’t know why my stupid brain still keeps thinking about Outer Banks and coming up with theories about S5 (as if I’m ever gonna watch it, spoiler: I’m not) but it does and I might as well share it with the class lol
Call me delusional, which I am, but I think that the ‘Cambank siblings theory’ lives on but as cousins instead.
I genuinely think that Chandler could be Ward's estranged brother and this whole treasure hunting thing is something they started together.
1. They casted an actor that looks INCREDIBLY A LOT like Ward, so much so that during the first leaked picture while they were filming S4 a lot of people thought it was Ward being back and I personally even thought it was gonna be Sarah and Rafe's uncle coming in after Ward's death. The resemblance is weirdly there.
2. Ward was born a Pogue who became a Kook and remember what Chandler said to JJ? "I grew up around here" (in the Cut) so he has the same exact backstory as Ward, born a Pogue in the Cut then became a self made Kook.
3. Of course the main thing is "but his name is Chandler GROFF married Genrette" yeah but Shoupe and the other deputy found out that he changed a lot of last names throughout the years to do his scamming and he was in fact scamming the Genrettes for the inheritance, so he could've easily introduced himself into the family with a fake identity.
4. When you think about it Chandler's main thing is about how he scams people and so was Ward, remember how after his fake death Rose found out they were in debt and some things weren't right in his investments? He surely didn't get that rich in an honest way and we saw he wanted to scam Big John on the treasure. ALSO this could explain why of all people on the island Chandler and Hollis decided to scam Rafe Cameron targeting him, probably the reason why Chandler and Ward were estranged from one another is because he tried to scam Ward in the past after he got rich.
5. There's also one thing hanging in the air about JJ's identity reveal, that one thing that Luke said before JJ stormed away from their conversation "wait JJ, there's one more thing I need to tell you" and never told him. NOW this could’ve been a about the house thing that Luke signed and got exposed in the same episode but who knows? This shows always plants seed they never go back to.
Is this theory delusional? Yes. Does it also makes a little sense? Maybe. Will there be more about JJ’s backstory and Sarah’s childhood? Probably not because the show writers are ass.
I have 3 Jiara fics half written that only bigger forces up there know if they’ll ever get finished… it’s almost the big year 2026 and I still can’t let go of them, WHAT’S THE CURE????
