How do you feel about shameless self-promotion in the LazyTown fandom?
It's great! How else will we convert more followers to a 2004 children's show?
I'm cool with self-promotion, but the creator should have SOME shame
Only people who have never met the creator irl can credibly promote fanworks
Can't stand it; keep those fanworks on the deep web where they belong
It's cool for other fandoms, but not LazyTown
It's cool for LazyTown, but not other fandoms
Is this a shameless excuse to self-promote? 'Cuz I have a link to share if yes
There's still a LazyTown fandom in 2026???
Oh look, it's an excuse for all the LazyTown 'content creators' still active in 2026 to self-promote. How very convenient! 😁
This is your gilded invitation to post a link to whatever art, fic, rp blog, community, or whatever else fandom kids do these days (tiktok dances? idk) in the notes. Can be your own work, can be someone else's that you think is awesome and needs more love.
Here, I'll start us off with some recent (and not-so-recent) favorites of mine that I want to see get more love:
@xbydefault's Mr. Kicker's Little Black Book got three new chapters this year after an extended hiatus! (She is my favorite author you guys; she also did Definition of Insanity.)
Speaking of updates, Fireagate's Robbie's Rotten Christmas finally updated with the "good" chapter! (Not sure if it still qualifies as teen, but Sportacus doing a flip "like that" would have made me spit out my coffee if I was drinking any at 3 am.)
It's going on nine(!) years old now, but if you haven't read any LazyTown fanfic yet and are looking for a good place to start, I always recommend GoblinCatKC's Only a Little in the Air as being emblematic of that "wait, isn't this for a kid's show??" feeling the best LT fic has without being overly dark.
@bugmeeku has been posting some adorable art this year. I particularly like their Brokeback Mountain sportarobbie for some reason, but honestly it all makes me happy.
@rotten-sportcandy makes art that seriously looks like it's out of the tie-in books from back when this show had merchandise, except for what the art is of (lol)
Hey, remember when Sportacus vs Homelander was a thing for a hot second and @ilexvici made a video? That was fun!
@erdenmaedchen has been posting some excellent gif sets for this very, very gif-able show.
....and like I could keep going for a while, obviously, but I really do want authors/artists/etc to feel encouraged to promote themselves. Come on, have you ever met a community as welcoming as this one when it comes to new fanart? I think not.
It is going to be so embarrassing if all the votes go to "can't stand it" now that I've made this list. 😅

One of the new secret events added for Scarlet on the update- Number One and the Coolest
You get this by winning all of Vodka's G1 races.
It'll happen after winning the Arima Kinen. Vodka has a mirrored one but it's harder to get because you have to win the Classic and Senior Arima Kinen.
These girls are so gay for each other!

Have you read catch your breath; there are no breaks (Lazytown)?
Yes, I am/was in the fandom
Yes, but I’m not in the fandom
No, but I’m in the fandom
No, I’m not in the fandom
Summary: Through a series of what could charitably be called mishaps, Sportacus and Robbie stumble upon a bleak and chilling secret, hidden for the past decade behind a glamour left by Number 9. Our Heroes will do whatever it takes to protect their town. Even if that means working together. And even if it means bringing in outside help...

without fail, every time I read a well-respected author or artist talk about their process, from Chuck Close to LM Montgomery to Flannery O'Connor to William Stafford to Terry Pratchett, every single time, the key is writing on a consistent schedule. (And reading widely and reading well, which is another post). Most wrote daily, no matter how good or bad. Someone asked William Stafford, who wrote a poem a day, what to do if what you write that day is trash, and he replied with "Lower your standards." Terry Pratchett wrote 400 words a day. Chuck Close says inspiration is for amateurs. LM Montgomery referenced having a scheduled approach. Flannery O'Connor said she was a full-time believer in writing habits. As she stated:
"You may be able to do without them if you have genius, but most of us only have talent, and this is simply something that has to be assisted all the time by physical and mental habits, or it dries up and blows away...This doesn't mean I produce much out of the two hours. Sometimes I work for months and have to throw everything away, but I don't think any of that was time wasted. Something goes on that makes it easier when it does come well. And the fact is if you don't sit there every day, the day it would come well, you won't be sitting there."

Exercises for all the homies who want to have a long career drawing.
The true problem with being an artist and drawing all day (as I wanted my whole life) is that human backs are not designed to hold that position, so it is very common for artists and designers to have really stiff shoulder blades, creating a chain of muscle strain towards the arm AND the back… and a lot of pain.
These are some physical exercises for artists and honestly anyone who works at a desk.
