Personally I think that the messy love triangle in The Legend of Korra makes sense when you remember that it involved a 17yo girl that has been isolated her whole life with no people her age around her and an 18yo orphan guy that spent his life being too busy parenting his younger brother and trying to survive to go through normal teenage experiences. The most well-adjusted of the three when it comes to social skills was the 18yo orphan rich girl who was also seemingly in her first real relationship lmao, just like the other two. It was annoying to me too, but it's kinda realistic for a bunch of people that age to be messy, and the resolution ended up being also realistic and pretty mature, actually.

ive been wanting to learn how to make music, but i cant help but feel its too late. i know theres the "the time will pass anyways" mentality, but its hard to internalize it, you know?

You want to make stuff, so why stop yourself?

Who is it too late for? Late relative to whom, random others? Is the desire to do it not enough for you to try?

Even master musicians start off as clueless as you are right now. Be they some young prodigy or some middle-aged nobody, both ultimately have the same capacity for making art. The only difference right now between you and them is their willingness to begin and your hesitance to try - and once you begin, the only difference then will be how far you're willing to push yourself to learn and further bridge the experience-gap.

Making art for yourself is ultimately an additive experience, it builds on itself. Be it gaining experience, learning your personal proclivities, acquiring skills, seeing new perspectives - you only gain in trying. And if it ultimately ends up being not for you, then now you know, but it won't ever be for starting 'too late'

One good thing:

My mom is setting the area around my bed up so that I can do things a bit easier while my wrists are messed up and she's gone! Even though I'm struggling with the fact that i'm staying at her house right now, she's been a huge help. I've recognized that I do need to be here since I can't do much right now, and that acceptance has been sad but helped me a bit today. This isn't exactly a peaceful household but I'm very grateful to have someone to help me, and for the ability to recognize that not everyone has that.

Something I did for myself today:

I chose rest, and I reminded myself that rest is productive, too.

Guys I am Losing My Mind BOTHHHHH MY WRISTS are fucked up and not improving and I just want to draw something :(

I did however use my left (non-dominant) hand to do a small drawing and an animation exercise before that wrist went to shit too which was actually super fun!! If not a little patience-testing. But i'll probably post those on my art account in the next couple of days!
