I'm hoping you weren't heaven sent Cause only hell knows where you've been. Your built composure's wearing thin And all your walls are caving in. Before you shut this down, I just wanna lift you up. I'll take all this love I found and I hope that it's enough.
he could always tell when they were new. maybe it was just his own weird superpower or maybe it was just because they all seemed to give off the same vibe whenever they stepped into his club. leaning against the bar, his gaze wandered around a bit more, enjoying the sight of a full club – the pride of any club owner. the music was particularly good this evening, the new dj he had hired was already more than pulling his weight as he weaved the music into an infectious string of beats that kept most people pumped and on the dance floor.
before he knew it, his eyes were landing once again on the newcomer that he’d spotted a few moments again, the slightest of smiles spreading onto his lips as he waited to see if the other would notice his gaze; a hand lifting to motion him over and shoo away a few lingering people to make space at the edge of the bar, hoping to make it clear that he’d like him to come over towards him.
it wasn’t uncommon for him to show up at the ruby hotel; whether it was for himself or if he was directing others to it who had previously been using his own set of rooms and were looking for a place to extend their time together. business between the two places was booming; the mutual agreement to promo one another often working out quiet well in their favor. one of the better parts of the deal came in the form of something non-business related though. a blossomed friendship; a welcoming break from the tedium and stress related in running businesses.
tonight was another one of those nights where he was personally escorting a pair to the hotel, all charm and flirt as he chatted to them about their stays in michigo, making sure to inform them of various places to see and experience. once they had been settled into a room, he happily turned and headed off to hopefully find rina lurking somewhere, tired from hosting and in need of recharging his batteries with a friendly face. his voice called out lightly, a playful tone slipping into his words as he made sure to keep them at a reasonable volume, feet bringing him towards where he remembered she usual was.
ah, yes. the red herring tavern. it was certainly one of the more interesting places around the area; one of the only businesses that he, himself, enjoyed going to besides his own. his own club looked like child’s play when it came to the shadiness of this location and that was what attracted him; there were times where he needed to get away. not to mention it was the best place to buy some of the drugs that were commonly passed around within the backrooms of his establishment; most would have sent one of their staff to do such things for them, not wanting to get their hands directly dirty. but namki enjoyed the thrill; not to mention he just had this terrible habit of doing what he needed for his clients.
leaning back against the bar, he sipped on the beverage in his hand, relishing the burn that followed down through his throat and into his stomach. not bad whiskey, after all. yet another fight was being broken up; most of the tavern’s attention focused over in its direction.
o h w o w ! good to see you again. its me, silver. back at it again with the immediately making two muses thing. cutting to the chase: namki ( 26, owner of club aura ) is my babe and i love him. down below is his full background and his plots page will be worked on and updated soon! feel free to send me a message if you want to interact with him!
born in cardiff on the coast of wales, namki grew up in a warm and happy home, contently tucked away in a nice house by the ocean, the sound of waves lapping against the shore audible as he lay in his bedroom. his father had been stationed there as a diplomat ten years before his birth; his parents newly wed as they moved from their home in seoul, eager to start their lives together.
finding themselves happy there, they decided to take a more permanent position and settled down to start a family. namki came along a few years after his older brother, an unexpected, but not unwelcome addition to their lives.
alongside his older brother, he grew up to be something of an interesting child. he did nothing more than go out exploring every chance he got. his brother was his closest companion, the two nearly inseparable, despite their four year age difference.
at the age of twelve, namki fell from a tree and faceplanted into the ground. it was amusing at first, his brother laughing at his pain (as brothers do), until he stood up and blood began to run down his face.
running home, his parents rushed him to a hospital to discover he had fractured his eye socket and the fall seemed to have essentially disconnected something in that eye. the bones healed but his vision never returned, despite multiple attempts to correct it.
with half of his vision gone, his personality seemed to diminish and instead of running around, he found himself sitting inside on the computer more and more. the world just seemed to overwhelm him when he stepped outside.
whether that was because of the trauma of the accident or if it was because of the strangeness of his vision, he wasn’t sure. all he knew is that he didn’t want to do anything anymore.
years passed and life continued almost normally; his brother was still his closest friend but they didn’t seem to spend the same amount of time together as they did when namki had been younger. so when the elder went off to university in another country, not much changed. they skyped and emailed each other and life went on.
it was by the time namki was ready to go off to university that he decided to spring an idea on his parents: they had always encourage their children to learn their home language, though his korean was rough and accented; so when he told them he wanted to go to school in korea, they were thrilled but concerned.
but his mind was made up and so he went; the struggle was real. his strange fear of outside still existed and the language barrier wasn’t one to be forgotten. but with time, he found his way around it all (even improving his korean along the way).
business management was a breeze for him, his mind always working well when it had to think in terms involving what worked and what didn’t. the friends he’d picked up in school encouraged him when he came up with his first idea in his final year of university. a night club. but not an ordinary one.
graduation and namki’s plans for opening aura were already underway. his money coming from a combination of loans and the generosity of his parents who weren’t entirely thrilled with his business prospects, but supported him from across the world as best they could.
not long after, club aura was born, sitting in a less than fantastic neighborhood, it was his crowning jewel and quickly became a money maker with its top choice in music and drinks, along with the little business happening in the back. his friends had always encouraged him with their shared vision: a place for those a bit more interested in the bdsm scene to be able to collect.
so rooms were rented as needed, furnished with the best that could be gotten for whatever desires people might have. namki even using them when he had time as well; though he left the phrase “professional submissive” off his business card.
the club continues to prosper well and namki finds himself happily contained within the nightclub and the community that he’s found for himself; nothing but fun to be had when you work hard enough.
