Aileen clenched the strap of her bag on her shoulder, feeling the splints dig into the underside of her knuckles. She'd woken up with her fingers slightly more swollen than usual, which had nearly made her skip her regular saturday morning yoga lesson. Thankfully, the stiffness had abated by the time she had finished her breakfast, so figuring the gentle yoga session wouldn't hurt, she'd decided to get on her ratty little bike and come to the little yoga studio. She'd adapt some of the positions to ease the strain off her hands, and she'd be okay.
With that settled, came her second task of the day, in the form of the woman currently unfurling her mat and glaring at anyone who got too close. She'd been on the receiving end on that glare a couple of times already, and she refused to be deterred this time. At first, she tried to figure out what it was about her that Rina didn't like. She wracked her brain trying to figure out what she'd done, to the point she had to put the kettle on for some tea to not get upset. When it dawned on her this was just a person who was content with disliking everyone around her, she was stumped. Why? No, that wouldn't do.
She took a deep breath and steeled herself, walking into the class until she stood beside the other woman. She offered a warm smile and began unrolling her padded mat. "Hi! Good to see you back! We missed you last week." she might have been a bit too generous with the 'we', but she paid no attention to the other class goers, resolute to have a pleasant conversation with the woman beside her.
