setting fire to our insides for fun.
[ So, I was looking at all the covers of the books and other art pieces by Brett Helquist and noticed how Vi and Sunny seem to wear different color ribbons (I saw orange, yellow, blue, and violet). Now, it may have just been a minor thing that really didn’t matter, buuuut it’s more...
Did anyone else notice how in the vile village, Klaus says that Violet hates the color pink, yet in the official artwork for her, she is shown wearing a pink ribbon
ASOUE is probably the only fictional universe where it’s possible to have a sword and lose in a swordfight to a fucking baby who’s fighting back using only her very sharp teeth
VOLUNTEERS AND VILLAINS a soundtrack mix inspired by Lemony Snicket’s VFD

If you ever need a letter of excuse signed by Lemony Snicket, here you go.
ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 11
Question: Opinions on the casting of the Baudelaires in the movie?
Answer: All roles were amazingly well done, except for Count Olaf. I didn't like Jim Carrey for that role.
Am I the Only Person Who Didn’t Like Jim Carrey as Count Olaf?
I thought that the rest of the cast was perfect, except for Count Olaf. It’s just that in the books, Count Olaf was an extremely scary and frightening person. Yes, there were some times when he seemed funny due to his idiocy, but overall he was a nightmare. I felt like Jim Carrey sort of overdid it on the ‘funny’ and under-did it in terms of scariness.
ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 10
Question: What do you think happened to the Quagmires?
Answer: As much as this question hurts my heart to answer, I think they died :(
ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 9
Question: Which of Violet's inventions is your favorite?
Answer: The one she made in the Vile Village! It was called the battering ram. She made it using bread, water and a wooden board. She used to it to bust her, Klaus and Sunny out of jail. I just thought that was so clever!
ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 8
Question: How did you first find the series?
Answer: My older sister read them while we were growing up, and a few months ago, while looking for a new series to read, I decided to read one, and I fell in love <3 <3 <3
ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 7
Question: What is your favorite illustration?
Answer: There's a bunch of them that I love, but I have to say my favourite is this one of the city from The Penultimate Peril
ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 6
Question: Is there a character you disliked at first and then grew to like, or vice versa?
Answer: umm none that i can really think of? But I guess if i have to say, it's probably the two powdered face women. They were a part of Olaf's theatre troupe, and when Sunny was kidnapped by Olaf in The Slippery Slope, they comforted her, and then later ditched Olaf. I'm really curious as to know more about their triplet sister who had apparently died in a fire. They imply that they think that Olaf was the one who started it, and that intrigues me.

ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 5
Question: Would you rather live in 667 Dark Avenue, Uncle Monty's house, Aunt Josephine's house by Lake Lachrymose, VFD headquarters, Hector's hot air balloon, or the Queequeg?
Answer: It's a tie between 667 Dark Avenue and the VFD headquarters.
ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 4
Question: Is there a villain you can't help but like?
Answer: ahhaa well I've always sort of liked Carmelita. I don't even know why, theres just something about her that I find hilarious. It's not even that I like her as a person, I just like how sassy she is.
ASOUE CHALLENGE DAY 3
Question: Who did you think Beatrice was, before reading The End?
Answer: Tbh i don't exactly know how to answer this, because i already knew who she was before reading The End. I found out who she was when i was on like book 2 or something. I guess I just assumed she was Lemony Snicket's ex lover and that was it. I didn't really think much of her. It was still pretty interesting to read parts about her, and catch little hints that people who didn't really know who she was, wouldn't have gotten.
