Instead of linking the previous years I put them altogether here, but if you REALLY need links I have it in my last post which is from 2 years ago lol

2020, as you can imagine, was a hard year. Both with the pandemic and personal stuff that happened with me irl. I never finished my piece for last year’s redraw, i tried so many times and what you see is as far as I got before giving up. I felt guilty for so long, I felt like I hadn’t improved from the previous year, I tried to make look as different as possible to make myself feel like I’d improved... Overall, I was in a funk, and it took me a good inner pep-talk to hype myself up to do this year’s redraw after failing to do last year’s redraw, and I’m so glad I did it.

Bumps in the road may occor, but life is a journey, not a race. I don’t always need to be “better” to improve, and sometimes you’ll learn new things and apply them to what you do, and sometimes you’ll be so caught up in trying to out-do yourself you ultimately fail yourself in the end. I spent the last year or so improving my background and lighting skills, and I feel like they really show here. I’d like to work on my perspective a little more, and even my anatomy and proportions, so hopefully that’s something I can improve on by next year!
